Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

This was definitely a different take on Spidey. It was a fun movie, but does not have the magic of Rami's first 2 Spidey movies for me. Also felt like they overdid it on trying to tie Spidey to the MCU, we get it, he's part of the universe now.

I thought he was okay till the twist, that's when it felt more personal that he was a threat to Spidey.

Yeah looks like Spider-Beta Male to me. Gonna wait till i can DL it. (Need a Spider-MAN movie)

(Although i don't think much can top Raimi's first two SM movies)

It was a bit much, being in CW and having Tony Stark in this movie, plus his "Iron Spider" suit was enough, it started to just get too distracting.

Saw it tonight. I loved the trailers that other people hated if memory serves. I wasn't blown away by the film though. It was...fine. The first Raimi films remain top.

Saw the movie and really enjoyed it.

Only complaint is they should've gone full MJ with Zendaya. Spidey has too many strong, supporting characters that they don't need to make up a new one. I would have been OK if they started Mary Jane like Michelle and she gradually became more like the comic book character with sequels.

I welcome the MCU connections I hope they keep increasing more and more.

If I want to watch a standalone Spiderman movie I will go choose from the other FIVE that have already been made.

Sony and Marvel sharing Spiderman is a HUGE deal so of course the "Cinematic Universe" was going to be front and center.

Of course they were going to play up that other superheroes exist that is the whole purpose of their joint venture that is the whole reason this movie exists.

I walked into this movie fully expecting to be entertained by all the character connections.

Nothing distracting about it when one comprehends that these characters no longer exist in a vacuum.

If you want your superheroes not interacting with other superheroes just go watch:

I think he's easily one of the best MCU villains, right up there with Loki for me. The film is worth a second watch for the twist with him alone.

Twists like that are weird, it was more ding dong, surprise! It definitely got a good reaction from the audience during my showing though. Unless I missed them, there weren't really any clues foreshadowing it.

I'm surprised you didn't not like her Zach. Grace is probably the biggest fan of Batman versus Superman I have ever seen. Although she did get a free invite to the NYC premier.

Some of the complaints for this movie I really don't understand. I think its funny how literally everyone wanted spidey in the MCU. He's now in the mcu and now its "too much iron man, forcing mcu/avengers connection" etc. This just shows that studios can never win lol. Oh well
