Guys guys. The movie is in no way a flop. Remember amsm2 had a way bigger budget. It did make sony money but not much. That and the fan / critical reception was crap. Homecoming was made for less, it exceeded sonys opening weekend expectations (they had it at 80-90) and its one of the best spiderman reviewed. It past the last to spiderman movies domestically and it still needs to open in china and japan. Its doing juuuuust fine lol

Nowadays if a superhero movie doesn't make a billion, it's automatically a flop.

Thats why BVS is considered a major flop. But it still made the studio money. Yes they projected it at 1B+ but still lol

Well, The Amazing Spiderman made more money than this and it was considered a flop which lead to Sony dealing with Marvel. So if this makes less, it's certainly a flop in the eyes of most people.

Spider-Man has been prematurely rebooted like 5 times. 2 horrible movies and a horrible tv show. The movie did fine considering all that happened. Spider-Man had it worse then any hero. Well maybe superman and the fantastic four had it worse.
