Wow it's sitting at 54 with a rotten rating and even Jye is taking shots at it without fear of recrimination from the mouse.

Hopefully this is a bit of wake up call for Feige and Disney. You can sprinkle some new characters in but don't load them up together especially after the lacklustre disney plus shows. Where Star Wars fatigue was a made up excuse, MCU fatigue is real. Perhaps they should be a bit bolder with those MCU shows and do something different, not tease something different and then run away from the idea before the end. Going forward I hope they concentrate more on the decent characters they have like the x-men, fantastic four, daredevil and the punisher.

I did finally see black widow (for free on disney plus) and it had some good ideas but the script needed so much work, how did anyone let slip through to production. The director had no idea how to do action (the character / dramatic stuff was good) and I feel pretty confident that they never read a black widow comic either and didn't have a clue what her power set was. There were about four or five times natasha should have outright been killed by events in the movie, she is not super she is a human. I liked the casting for her family and the opening scene was pretty good.

BW had similar problems to WW94, giving a director (and in this case probably Scarlett Johansson as well) too much freedom to do whatever they want but lacking the fundamentals of the genre / sand pit they are playing in. Feige needs to tighten his control before Chapek does.

Tho not rushing out to see Eternals. It'll be mildly interesting when I can watch it for *free*.

IMO one of the best. TWS/CW/Ragnarok. Appreciated First Avenger more and more as time went on. IM #1. Avengers #1. Sue me, I like a lot of Ultron tho not the farmhouse angst.

Mostly I get that Eternals is a mixed bad, overall. I just ain't ready for a whole new team of folks. Looking forward to Hawkeye, and DS.

I rewatched Ragnarok recently on TV and found it to be dull and silly. Sort of like the Batman & Robin of the MCU...

There are 2 ways of judging the MCU.

Individual movies.

23 Infinity Saga cinematic arc.

Sure individually you can score one higher than the other but the MCU IS as a whole remains a resounding and fulfilling success especially if you are a Cap fan.

Hulk fans need to sit this one out sorry lol

Imagine if Feige had the rights to all Marvel characters and called the shots on all of them? He has proven time and again, for the most part, he can deliver a satisfying take on Marvel characters. Do something different than before, there needs to be humor and give people something they don't expect.

He perhaps could have done Hulk better if Paramount? or whomever has the movie rights didn't sit on them.

Universal has the rights and they did…. Ok for the most part. I stand by what I say. 08 hulk is the best onscreen depiction of hulk. A scary force of nature who gets stronger with rage. A tortured being. Not some stupid green ape man who is played for laughs and beat up to show the big bad means buissness.

I do like the Incredible Hulk movie. He looked mean and was crafty in his fights. He was a definite powerhouse.

Yea if hot toys ever makes that version I’m getting that. Every marvel film is canon now kinda. But that hulk film remains the black sheep of the mcu despite it having the best onscreen hulk.
