I thought that was original Hulk?

Nah TIH was just a minor momentum speed bumb that barely caused any interruption no different than your average Rhodey recasting snafu.

Like first real big public media lashing embarrassing bomb that ends careers and requires a major course correction you know like Batman and Robin levels of oops.

Looks excellent! Most promising thing on the MCU slate and written and directed by one of the most promising new filmmakers currently working.
Not sure what you guys all saw but this looks like it will be great.

You mean the part where they sit around and don't interfere? Can't wait.

Wow, what a bunch of Debbie Downers! Talk about pessimistic - with you guys the glass isn't half-empty it's bone dry, then dropped, shattered and pulverized with a steam roller for good measure. :rotfl

I'm curious what that will look like. The Eternals...? Could be. But I don't see the Eternals, even if horrible, as a course correction type fiasco. MCU needs several bombs in a row, not just one. The MCU has almost become its own genre. One bad sci-fi movie doesn't end sci-fi.

But Wanda, Falcon, The Eternals, Loki and one more mega-budget movie failure (Black Widow?) will definitely get the MCU to start some re-evaluating. If Dr. Strange 2 is terrible after all this, then yeah, heads will start to roll.

BW, Shang-Chi and The Eternals incoming! Snake Eyes trailer > Shang Chi trailer If SM3 and like you said DS2 don't deliver, it won't be looking good. F4 will have to be the saving grace.

Looks like the leak from late March certainly matches what I seen in The Eternals trailer. Google it if you don't care to spoil the movie for yourself.

Are we chalking Loki up as a flop already?

You really can?t be surprised though.

Disney instantly jettisoned 55%-60% of their audience when they announced a few years ago that they were going woke with phase 4.

No matter if the trailer is 100% perfect the romance is now over for that 55%-60%.

That other 40%-45% better poney up some serious cash lol

I'm not surprised so much as disappointed....that 99% of the vocal majority here appears to be part of that 55%-60%.

Plus I don't remember the Disney press release describing Phase 4 in those exact words. :lol

Right after Endgame a lot of people talked about jumping off and I was pretty vocal about giving new material a chance.

WandaVision didn?t stick the landing but I really applauded the risks taken and the novel direction they took.

My issue with Falcon & Friends wasn?t the sociopolitical content, it was what I saw as very clumsy writing and mishandling of established characters.

The Eternals *could* surprise me and I?ll welcome being wrong, but right now the the trailer hasn?t shown me anything other than heavy CG and generic television vibe.

I really hope I?m wrong, I?d love to eat my words with a side of awesome. I don?t want the MCU to fail, but at this point I?m not going to buy in to poor writing and overdone effects based solely on a successful prior run.

10 characters just in the Eternals group, plus all the secondary characters, seems like a lot to juggle in the first movie especially since they will need to make us care about them all and flesh them out properly as well as tell whatever the story may be.

Unless a handful of them die, but then again who will care if they arent able to take sufficient time to flesh them out.

I'm straining with all my might, like I'm trying to give birth to a **** after eating Indian AND Mexican in one afternoon, just grrrrrrrrrgr just TRYING my hardest to give even the remotest of slight crap about any of these characters...........and I can't. I got nothing. Could not possibly give less of a flying **** about this movie or characters than I already do. If Stephen Hawking were alive he could write a new theorem about how little of a **** I give.

I hope Salma Hayek's ****s gain sentience and eat them all one by one, each in a more horrific fashion than the last.

Yeah, this feels like Marvel breaking their rule to be patient and introduce ensemble characters deliberately over time, across multiple movies. Imagine of all of the Avengers just started showing up for the battle of New York in A1. I wouldn't have given two poos about Dr. Strange, the Guardians, among others...

It?s explained in the movie why they don?t

mind wipe by a deviant to make them forget they are powered beings

Wow, if that truly is their explanation, then the MCU has given up on actual writing, storytelling and world building.

That doesn't even make sense. I'm pretty sure they are pretty technologically advanced as well and still could've helped. I guess they figured, **** it, the Wakandans got this...:lol

Can't wait to see what lame explanation they come up with for Mutants/the X-Men.

Prof. X was mind controlling/blocking all Mutants as he hid the X-men on a remote island for training cause they weren't ready as a team or to reveal Mutants to the world. Or all the Mutants in the world all of a sudden develop their abilities at once, like the stupid Inhumans with the Terrigen Mist.
