I wonder if this was at all partially retconned from what Feige had already envisioned/planned for the Inhumans. :dunno

Inhumans sounded like it was gonna be his baby as he was a big fan of the group. Until he sacrificed them by handing them over to the TV division to prove they weren't worthy of being part of the actual MCU. And boy, was he right.. :lol

I wouldn't say they weren't worthy, more like there were things specific to their makeup that he saw as problematic: similarities in their characters/story lines with other properties (like Maximus as the evil genius brother of the king who's always scheming to take the throne - i.e., a poor man's Loki by virtue of being introduced after him). Probably the biggest problem was that THE lead role (Black Bolt) is essentially a non-speaking role, so good luck landing a charismatic A-Lister to play him. Feige would have had his pick of A-List actresses to play Medusa & I'm sure they could have filled the roles of Gorgon, Triton, Karnak & Crystal with top talent as well (and probably made Lockjaw another Groot/Grogu), but without a great Black Bolt as the anchor Feige could no doubt see the limitations. Plus by then he may have been growing more confident about getting the X-Men back.

Watch it end up being that Dr. Strange realized that of the 14 million outcomes the only one where they had a hope of winning was the one where every single Eternal was in the 50% that Thanos dusted and with such losers gone they finally had a chance, lol.

:lol

You really should save some of this savagery until after you see the movie; at this rate if it actually does suck they'll be no way to up your game - i.e., you'll have already shot your load. Ewww.....

Kind of what I was thinking but a little more specific :lol ...

Lets be honest The Eternals from day one was always going to be a hard sell.

How am I supposed to get excited about a group of gods right before and right after IW/EG.

No, I didn't mean the Inhumans were unworthy, I meant the TV division of Marvel. There was a feud basically between Kevin Feige and Ike Perlmutter who headed the TV division. Since Agents of Shield was supposed to be part of the MCU, they disagreed on how to cooperate and do things together. Why little by little AOS had nothing to do with the MCU by like the 3rd season I believe. The Inhumans with the Terrigen mists and obelisks and crap story lines in AOS was pathetic. Feige eventually won and took over everything. The Inhumans' TV failure sealed the deal...

He sacrificed his beloved Inhumans to the TV division (to prove his point) which was ruining them so he could be in complete control.

Wasn't it totally random except for Stark and Thanos' entourage? In theory they could have all been dusted ... unlikely though.

Thanos' goal was to wipe out half the lifeforms in the universe. But specifically half the population/species on every world thus stopping the drain on each planets natural resources. He wasn't out for genocide. So he didn't just merely cut it in half leaving to chance who was dusted. He was more calculating and specific than just half the universe. I believe he even said to Thor he let half the Asgardians live. So, in theory, only half the Eternals and half the Deviants would've been dusted.

That's why he said the 2nd time, during the battle in EG when he got the gauntlet, he would do it different this time and wipe out the whole universe and rebuild it in his image.

Ah! He was more methodical then.

I can't help but notice that there's been no uprising to have Jye change his avatar back like we did with Khev... Wonder why? (Waits for uprising jokes incoming)

If Khev had used Carano's chest instead I think he would have been fine. I am surprised Khev isn't using Jyn Erso though. I do love the Captain America one though. Can't go wrong with classic Cap.
