During the latest review, Seth Killian said the roster is only roughly 50% revealed. I think they are shooting for more characters than initially planned, possibly 40+ characters. How many of those will be DLC though, I have no idea...

MvC2 had 56 and that game was notoriously unbalanced. 40 sounds like a more reasonable number.

Which rumored list is this? If they guessed Modok before it was revealed I'd say its 100% real

During one of Capcom's live streams of MVC3, Niitsuma chatted very casually with the hosts and answered fan questions about MVC3 very bluntly, directly saying whether or not certain characters would be in the game. The characters that got the axe? Phoenix Wright, Ghost Rider, Punisher, Daredevil, Emma Frost, and Gene from Godhand.

Bad news though: these two characters will only be available at launch via dlc included in the Limited Edition of MvC3, which will retail for $69.99.

People who don't buy the Limited Edition will have to wait four weeks before Jill and Shuma become available

Sad about the axe list..but what would Phoenix and Emma do anyway besides objecting and turning into an improperly dressed diamond statue?

Sweeeet! I'll probably wait the four weeks but glad to know Jill is a playable character. Really wish Emma Frost and Black Cat were in it though.

Shuma Gorath will be an insta-purchase for me. I'll pass on the LE version of the game though and wait for the DLC to become available.

$10 doesn't really seem a bad price at all for what you get. I'm a big fan of the steelbooks, so that's a pleasant surprise. And let's not forget, knowing Capcom, they're at LEAST going to charge $5 for the DLC characters anyway, so why not just buy them when the game comes out with the LE.

True that. I was thinking this game was retailing for $49.99 not $59.99.

Guess I'll see what happens when Amazon puts the LE up for sale.
