Yeah that wasn't so great, I didn't buy her strikes they looked very weak. Slow is good as it keeps thing more real but that wasn't a great example.

Oh well, at least the music reminded me a little of Blade. :lol

Yeah, I don't have a problem with it being slow, she's not Spider-Man after all, but it just looked as if the hits didn't land on time. Comic-Book Coleen is, well, a comic-book character, so I never expected crazy-ass, gravity defying stunts out of a JRPG, but this looked... weak. I hope it's still good though. After DD, IF was my most anticipated Netflix Marvel Show.

New Clip:

Am I seeing things, or was the choreograpy slow? The whole fight felt very scripted and weak. Kinda like the Knightmare sequence in BvS. And that's a pretty big problem. The series is literally about martial arts. If the fight scenes aren't well-done... Well, let's hope that's just one instance. But I think DDS1 is gonna remain the best for some time...

I really wish they kept Daredevil out of this shared universe and left it as its own standalone thing.

Punisher should be good, but I'm still not sold on Bernthal as Frank Castle.

I enjoyed season 2 of Daredevil quite a bit, but it did go on too long (same for all these Netflix shows) and the whole Elektra storyline interfered with the Daredevil/Punisher conflict. The dichotomy between them should have been the focus of the entire season.

The first 4 or 5 episodes were incredible. Better than anything from season 1 in my opinion.

You and 5 million other fans. :lol

It's gonna happen at some point, Alonso alluded to it, but... I want it now!

Didn't James Gunn say he had an idea for a Moon Knight movie?

Yeah, but... I want a Netflix show. A movie won't be able to tackle the themes of MK. He's a lapsed jew who woships a Bloodthirsty Egyptian God, has mental problems, and is trying to find salvation through punching people and ripping off faces. That ain't MCU material.

Man is that an epic post. :lol

Regarding this show the way I see it is that Netflix so far has already delivered 50 hours of easily above average superhero entertainment.

Let me say that again, 50 hours!

Easily above average and i'm being overly critical because half of that 50 hours easily borders on masterpiece drama and action and anyone that says otherwise is just being grumpy. :lol

So i'm not so ready to just dismiss Iron Fist because of a 1 minute fight clip.

I'll need at least a 2 minute clip before doing that because well, the internet yo. :lol

But seriously now c'mon, Netflix has totally earned our trust by this point, no.

pturtle yawns.

I don't think Luke Cage and JJ had great action, in fact I thought the action was pretty terrible in those shows. I think the drama was hit and miss on Jessica Jones, but really lacked in Luke Cage. I can't really say netflix is doing a great job when only Daredevil season 1 and half of season too have been truly brilliant.

I will say, I though Luke Cage in the first 2 episodes of Jessica Jones was pretty cool character, but once more dramatic acting was required, that character just went downhill for me.

This. All I saw was Shane from TWD when I watched DD Season 2.

Charlie Cox has been in a bunch of things (Stardust, Boardwalk Empire, to name a few), as has Kristen Ritter. But I can still see them as Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones.

Maybe it's Bernthal's one note acting. :dunno

And he couldn't stop bobbling his head like Shane either.

Bernthal is a good actor, they really should have given him the heavy Brooklyn accent.

Bernthal is a good actor, and think he was actually great in DD, but yea, it was hard not seeing Shane in his performance. I don't think he's a one note actor though, he was pretty different in The Wolf of Wall Street.

Yeah it's a real shame that he totally owned the role and delivered a great tortured Castle. :lol

Enough so that it made me forget about his height. :lol

Yeah, I misphrased my post. I made it seem like Bernthal isnt a good actor...I should have said his "one note" portrayal of Frank Castle. It seemed like he was playing "Shane playing the Punisher" at times.

He had some good moments, like telling his story to Karen Page. And of course, his face to face with the Kingpin.

I really liked his Castle, tbh. He was very much like Aaron's MAX Version. You've got to remember that he's still not the killing machine that's been years in the game, like Ennis' version.

Yeah, it was hard for me to forget that too. Bernthal said it was Frank Castle and not the Punisher. It was just hard for me, because I am used to the dead in the eyes Punisher who rarely speaks. We did get a sense of that in the scene with the gang member washing out the truck and Bernthal comes up behind him with blood on his face. But, in T.V. they want you to be talking a lot so I just had to adjust my mindset.

Do I think Bernthal is a great Punisher? He's not tall or italian, but he is a rough individual. I still prefer Ray Stevenson's portrayal, but I hope Bernthal gets better in his own show.
