That cheesefest was bad.
No it wasn't. Different doesn't mean bad.

Lundgren's movie FTW.

Sorry, I posted it before seein' your "Lundgren's movie FTW" nonsense. :lol
Anything from 2000s films is better than this:

And hearin' Shake.
And seein' naked Dolph.
And that car chase where the Punisher is drivin' a bus full of children.

Worst joke ever.

I'd love to see a sequel to Punisher 2004 with Vin Diesel as the main villain or anti-hero antagonist.

It's my fav as well.

Location changed, but it has a good intro, decent acting throughout, all kinds of colorful characters, kewl kars, people getting all kind of revenge, high body count and travolta. oh god was he horribly bad it was good.

Bernthal was a bit chatty, but is still the best Punisher we've seen so far IMO. Second is Stevenson Punisher, which is, by far, the best Punisher film. Of course, you have to have the right mindset going in, because it is so bat**** crazy and over the top. The others are MEDIOCRE! and forgettable.

Ray was good, the movie had better kills than the Friday the 13th remake that same year but the overall movie is weak.

Again it had some decent gritty and gory elements.

Jane's Punisher actually has a decent plot and even the Florida setting worked especially since it ended with him on a bridge heading towards NY probably.

You would be the last person I would imagine defending PWZ. :lol

If WB decided Superman should be treated that way (which is not beyond the realm of possibility), then yes, I would be the last person defending it :lol

But freaking Punisher? This is a wacky, psychotic character. A serial killer. The audience gets joy out of watching him viciously murder bad guys. War Zone gives you that. And the kills, the over the top performances (including from the great Dominic West), the crazy atmosphere and mood, it totally works for a guy like that. Having said that, I think the Lundgren performance is also a good representation of a more real world version of the Punisher. The guy who gets no joy out of anything in life, has no hope of redemption, and again, is a merciless killer, but is relentless in his pursuit of bringing justice to bad guys. It's just that the movie around him was so lackluster and boring. Gossett, Jr. was terrible. I'm not even sure I ever made it through the whole Jane/Travolta film. Snooze-fest! Sad! Total Disaster!

I'll give you the gore and West in PWZ, definately the highlights of that movie.

For me Jane's is far from boring.

Not saying PWZ was boring either but those characters were flat pieces of cardboards.

Jane's movie at least had fully formed cardboard boxes for characters.

It's safe to say they have missed the mark on every Punisher so far. I'm even afraid of this whole conspiracy behind Bernthal's Punisher. We shall see how it goes later this year.

Now excuse me, I have a strong urge to rewatch every "Bayformers" movie.
Be right back.
Fixed. :wave
