The way almost nothing gets resolved and there are far more questions than answers as the end is SO frustrating. First off, whilst I was expecting G'iah to help Fury against Gravik the way they did it was awful. Not having Fury get an actual confrontation with the villain of the series is such a shame and a lot of these story beats seem like such a slap in the face of his character. He literally gave a speech last episode about not relying on superpowered beings to do everything and then... that's exactly what happens. This could have been such an interesting and triumphant battle where it showcases Fury's brain and tactics overcoming a superpowered maniac-- Or hell have Fury bust out a nanotech suit of his own(which would actually be a great way to pay homage to his respect for Tony). But nope, instead we get G'iah GETTING EVERY SUPERPOWER and a mess of a cgi fight... Great...
Then the president of the united states declares he's going to commit genocide and Fury gets angry on the phone and ***** back off to space, EVEN THOUGH NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED and he LOST HIS TWO CLOSEST MATES. But oh all is well cause his wife and him reconciled, I guess? Also the lack of any clarification on how long Rhodey was a skrull is the cherry on top of middle fingers to the audience. And look, I fully expect it to be the boring "oh it was sometime after Endgame" but them holding off on it is just gonna make that reveal even more annoying and underwhelming.
The disappointment turns more into anger when I'm painfully reminded this was the end for Maria Hill </3
And it was basically for nothing.
