Yeah, me neither. I do admit I'm kind of looking forward to JL just for the unintentional lulz. I've got to imagine that Clark and Pa's reunion in the afterlife will be epic.

Ragnarok is the one I'm looking forward to, as far as CBMs go. I'm not hyped, but I'm intrigued.

GotG2 is out in a few days, but I'm not feeling it, really. Same goes for JL and the others.

I honestly haven't been extremely hyped for any MCU film since the first Avengers... and I wasn't even a big Marvel fan back when it came out.

I'm looking forward to GOTG2 and Ragnarok, but not excepting a masterpiece out of either.

They're taking ideas from Coates' stuff, and not Based Priest's run...

Same. You know what'd make a kick-*** flick? Another Cap film based on Based Steve, but that's impossible. Man, I just LOVE Based Steve. It's the best thing Marvel has done in ages. HYDRA!Cap is just too cool for words. He's slowly creeping up with Doom for my favourite character. It's just a shame the normies ruined him for everyone... I mean, his prep game is insane. **** Batman, Luthor and all their half-assed planning. HYDRA!Cap's schemes actually make sense and are airproof. He's a Top 5 Villain at this point.

What do you mean by this?

Is he a woman now or something? :lol

No, he's the same Based Steve as he's been for a year now, but it's impossible to find any fan-art, manips or discussions. The book exists in a void because MCU fan[insert one of the 5k genders here] can't handle comic book stories.

People hate that hydra cap. Especially tumblr

Twitter hates him too. Basically the whole world hates the story. Hell, Secret Empire, a Marvel event, didn't get the Top Spot this time. Batman #21 did. CWII and all their crap events sold like hotcakes, but the one good event is getting swept under the rug 'cause the new market is a bunch of easily misled crybabies.

Isn't that the point though? He's a villain and a Nazi :lol

Sure, he's a villain, but he's not a Nazi. HYDRA = Nazis is just an MCU thing the normies latched onto. Yeah, in the original books, HYDRA were quasi-Nazis, but then they got turned into James Bond villains, and it's since been retconned to being an ancient, occult organization. For 16 issues Steve's been trying to take control from Red Skull, and bring back the real HYDRA.

They don't hate him as a villain, they hate him forreal and they campaigned for censorship, jewish millennials even were like muh holocaust.

Funny thing is, those complaining for such stuff ain't even jewish. They're just your average Tumblrinas, who think they know better. Hell, now they're wearing "**** Nick Spencer" buttons on their shirts. Marvel offered Comic Shop owners HYDRA shirts to promote the event, and they responded with a "we're not supporting Nazis!!11!1 We're not gonna carry Marvel anymore11!!11" rant.

It's not about liking or disliking a story anymore. It's about this new market being extremely hostile, and also clueless at the same time. They waver their "Steve is a symbol of democracy" banners and send Spencer death threats. One's idiotic when talking about a comic book character, and the other is an even more idiotic response to disliking a story. It's just sad. I can accept someone going "look, this just ain't the Cap I like" and sitting this one out. It's what I'm doing with many titles. But to 'cause all this ****storm for something so typically comic book-y is just moronic.

HYDRA!Cap has been a great ride thus far, and the title character is really a force to be reckoned with. He's not telling you how awesome he is, or falling into the traps of "bruh he's Cap, he's a master strategist and ****". He's showing you all those plans and thoughts and backups, they're on the pages. And it's truly a shame people can't enjoy it because of what the internet has done to this hobby.

They have their own weird headcanon of Steve, and anything that deviates from it is a sin. Same goes for any character, really. Tony is a bisexual transsexual, Steve is a cuddly bottom in a relationship with Bucky, Doom is dark af and wears pentagram necklaces and has painted nails, and the list goes on. The moment a character becomes visible, is the moment the toxic community gets its hands on him, and turns him inside out.

Either way...

******* that's an awful poster... Still, I hope this will be good. If they get notes from the Priest/Kirby runs, it'll be KINO. If they take stuff from Hudlin's book, then... oh boy...

What issues would you recommend? Been out of comics for decades, but that whole bit about his prep game and all has me intrigued.
