Not to sidetrack things but WV isnt even in the same league as Daredevil and Punisher.

Your spot on.. One is creative, different and imaginative, while two are not.. :lol

I know your a fan of dark, gritty, violent superheroes so makes sense that that is how you feel. Which I take it as you like the Netflix stuff.

But, as wrong as it is, I'll give your comment and terrible taste and opinion a pass.... :wink1:

:duff Enjoy what you enjoy.

If you're preference is straight up action then no it's not, but the approach is so vastly different it's hard to make an apples-to-apples comparison. They may all be adapted from comic book stories, but WV resides in a magic/occult sub-category. Obviously that's not going to be everyone's cup of tea.

Daredevil and Punisher -- the latter in particular -- are violent male power fantasies. There's a ... time and place for that kind of entertainment. Personally, I don't give a rat's *** about the tired and hackneyed storytelling about a drawn-out, violent revenge fantasy but I get the appeal, I did actually watch the series. Daredevil's more interesting but it's a totally different sub-genre at the end of the day, it's not in the same category as a show like WandaVision, which within the confines of the MCU is both refreshing and very well done.

I say the 'confines' because of course it's going to revert to formulaic elements because that's what the MCU does, the snark, the (often) lack of gravitas, the popcorn-y vibe. But it's not as if anyone's going to change their mind on what resonates with them and what doesn't.

I must admit the die hard Marvel fans are a credit.... No matter how much below par stuff they release everyone will go and see it twice at least and defend.
But seriously

WV
Ant Man 2
Iron Man 3
Thor 2
Age of Ultron
Capt Marvel
Spider Man far from home when they again pulled an IM 3 plot

All these films are medicore....but people wont just admit it.

I used to co this when I was a teenager...if a band had 1 good record I'd get all there albums. Silly. Just blind to what's not good.

Bit of a sweeping statement but I guess on this board I'm not surprised. :lol

WV -- taking a risk, executing well but may not stick the landing. A lot of MCU films have weak endings.
Ant Man 2 -- Forgettable and wildly inconsistent.
Iron Man 3 -- Not as bad as people say, not particularly good.
Thor 2 -- Forgettable.
Age of Ultron -- Bad CG, weakest entry in the Avengers series. Mediocre at best.
Capt Marvel -- Easily one of the weakest MCU films period, plagued with multiple problems from casting to rushed writing to poor characterization.
Spider Man Far From Home -- had its moments but forgettable.

All these films are medicore....but people wont just admit it.

I think for the most part I just did. :lol

The MCU as a whole is one amazing and entertaining accomplishment. It's greater than the sum of its parts which sometimes fall short. The other issue is that given how long it's been going, some of those films are bound to get dated.

Truth is there aren't a lot of *great* genre films out there, for any property. It's difficult to do for a variety of reasons ranging from adapting comics/books to economics... and making these properties accessible (directly related to economics).

Yeah dude it got good

If not for Disney massive ball drop with the firing of GC they were on a winning streak with Mando and WV

But rumor is still swirling that GC is in talks with Disney with many industry insiders involved in the back and forth, lets see

Don't bring that talk here. :lol

As for comparisons to the Netflix Marvel releases, I agree they are pretty much incomparable.

I'm at the opposite side of many here, I feel the "real world" parts of the story are boring/weak while I very much enjoy the sitcom portions especially when they get weird. I like Monica, but I am not a fan of Darcy or Woo. IMO the cast of AoS would have been a better fit (and far better actors than everyone else in that SWORD base). This is why I felt the last episode was weaker compared to the previous ones.

Overall, I still like it though. It's been something me and my son wait for every week (nice father and son bonding time too).

Who da **** is Agatha?

My reaction after watching Episode 7.

Better be something BIG happening or I’ll probably never watch this show again.

Agatha is a witch who figures in a lot of the stories involving Wanda in the books. She also figures into some Fantastic Four storylines. I do not believe she was ever evil in the comics, so I doubt very much that she is going to end up as the villain of this series.

I would say there is NO rewatch value in this.
I tought the first few episodes weren't without there charms but I wouldn't ever go back and watch again.

Absolutely no rewatch value. Take away the era's of television armour and cameo and what is the show? A what's going on in vile's town, every episode. Although nothing happens. It's just Wanda adding more of a question mark to herself and Vision doing the same. Now that the gimmick has faded and we get the shield quality show outside of the Hex, it's even clearer to see how flimsy the plot is.

It's become what Marvel became, creating hype through guest appearences and cameos. Says a lot about the surprise cameos yet to come also. It's nice being connected, but when a show is held up with excitement just by cameos, there really isn't much else. As much as I love the Marvel film universe, it really has perfected revelling in its own interconnectedness, which got old extremely quickly.

There was another of those parts I don't like where random human character is able to precisely recount the events of the movies - like as though she saw the movies - when Kat Dennings was catching Vision up on his origins and how he died.

I dunno, something annoys me about that, I get all ''You weren't there man!'' :lol

Heh an old video dropped into my feed today, I remembered Ducky. This answers your question:

Next episode Darcy will recite the conversation Stark had with Strange inside the Sanctum Sanctorum in IW lol

The entire battle was streamed live on Wakandavision :D, so some surviving Killmonger sympathizer from the traitorous Border Tribe probably leaked it online lol...

That bothered me for a moment, but then again fighting Thanos was likely the most important battle in cosmic history, and it happened on earth. I recall the details we have on say Napoleon wars and troop movements, so it would make sense Shield and other intelligence agencies would have all the information and briefings from Iron Man, Captain America...ect to what happened exactly.

There were likely books written about it and websites dedicated to every detail.
