That bothered me for a moment, but then again fighting Thanos was likely the most important battle in cosmic history, and it happened on earth. I recall the details we have on say Napoleon wars and troop movements, so it would make sense Shield and other intelligence agencies would have all the information and briefings from Iron Man, Captain America...ect to what happened exactly.

There were likely books written about it and websites dedicated to every detail.

Yeah I took it as that. I generally dislike it when characters narrate a story they are not a part like they were with the audience witnessing it, but in this case, I gave it a pass because of what you said above.

So a little bit of an Easter Egg in the music of WandaVision, the "WandaVision" theme you'll hear in every intro music (and some of the soundtrack in the episodes itself, it's even in Agatha All Along), has its first 2 notes as an octave and the last 2 notes are a tritone, which is what is called "The Devil's Interval" in music because of how unsettling it is. Either another red herring, or a clue pointing to the Mephisto links of the series.

More on tritones:

Pretty cool that Marvel is upping its musical game too (MCU's music was one of its weakest points before).

I haven't watched any new sitcoms in quite a long time so it looks like they've officially reached the point in this newest episode where I'm no longer familiar with which show they're spoofing.

Gotta say that it's not nearly as much fun when you don't get the reference.

Same here . I gave up on TV around 1990......

Overall , it?s been fairly weak with moments of interest for me.

Thee tire series could have been encapsulated in about half the episodes so far. It screams of being drawn out, much like LOST in the master seasons.

I personally always hated prime time TV so that part of the show is painful to sit through. The reality parts are being drawn out so they are painful to sit through.

This might be the show you just read about and say, ok so that?s what happened there, and it becomes just a tie in to the films.

I have an entirely different take.

My wife and I enjoy sitcoms. The best ones are breezy and lighthearted allowing you to forget your troubles for half an hour and laugh. We’ve watched at least enough episodes and, in most cases, enough seasons of every show they’ve parodied to “get” all the references. This show is fun and witty and imaginative. It does a PHENOMENAL job parodying the style, writing, acting, etc of the various sitcoms as well as the look and feel of each decade (down to the spot on commercial parodies. That 90’s XXXXTTTRRREEEEMMMEE!!!1111 claymation commercial was amazing).

And WandaVision does all this while also telling a fun and intriguing spooky marvel mystery at the same time. Admittedly, I’m not much of a Marvel comic reader so even when they pull directly from the comics the stories are new and fresh to me. And I’m not saying the show is perfect. There are issues with logic leaps, acting, writing, etc. but none of it is terrible. And over all the show is highly fun and entertaining. I think it’s great and hope they continue to take fun creative chances with their shows. It’s way better than just more standard “comic books brought to live action” stuff* that we’ve been getting for decades now.

*Dont get me wrong, I love well done “comic books brought to live action” and want more of it. I’m just happy to ALSO get creative original content along side it!

At this point the MCU is selling nostalgia. Nostalgia of comics, of toys, and old TV. Much easier to make the crowd clap their flippers together for some good ol' memories than it is to make something new and genuinely creative. Current Hollywood seems devoid of innovative creativity when their decisions are based on accounting estimates.

There are plenty of creative forces in Hollywood....no one wants to back them.

It?s been shown time and time again, that sequels and nostalgia sell better . The true powers in Hollywood , the Producers and Money backers do not care at all about creativity, just ROI.

On a different topic, I normally loath Youtube, but in a nod to the details in Wandavision, you all should check out Voss and his post show recaps, he shows all the details in the show most of us miss. It makes the show seem better than it is.......

He?s also been correct on his predictions of what?s going on in the show.

I have heard of websites out there built solely for collectors that love to buy statues and figures from decades old franchises. I mean even minor characters with barely any dialogue or screen time get dedicated toys, and people pay hundreds of dollars for these.

I have never been to any of those sites, but we can all imagine they exist.

On a completely unrelated note, I am curious if we will get some HT figures from this series.

I don’t watch many sitcoms, but were the last episodes supposed to be a reference to Malcolm in the Middle (the music and font) and Modern Family (talking to camera)? What were all the other sitcoms teased? Bewitched and Brady Bunch?

The **** Van **** Show

30 mins to go! :D

Going back to the musical theme, here's how the tritone motif was applied to the episode music so far:

Best episode so far. A little bit of retconning on Wanda and Pietros origin, but to be expected with the inclusion of mutants soon. Dr.Strange did say in the comics that chaos magic wasn’t a thing, sooooo....Agatha maybe is not understanding correctly what she is seeing.

After this new episode it really feels like they could have done the whole sitcom gag in the first few episodes and then moved on. The show is much better now that they're not having to pad the episodes out to have each one fit with a single theme.

I really enjoyed them going through Wanda's history, even if it is slightly revisionist. However, Pietro was completely sidelined, what happens to him makes zero sense if she was already a witch and the Infinity Stone recognised it in her - unless they reveal mutant genes, and Pietro had it so it awaken power in him also.

LOL at SWORD being able to contain the magic around the spy plane, that was pretty dumb.

But agreed, I think they ruined the series by doing that. They really could have had two episodes dedicated to it, with two different shows in each episode, would have helped with the pacing. But then again they don't really have much story for this show so had to do that I suppose - hasn't worked for me.

This was a really good one. Can't wait for the finale next week. The after credits thing was also a nice touch.

Now I am pretty sure that Agatha
is not the villain here. She's there because she sensed the magic, and she things Wanda is a dangerous being. I believe Agatha is there to save the town.

Also, they finally say the name! :yess:

Coming soon to landfills and polluted oceans near you......a metric ton of useless crap that nobody wants!!

They show a silhouette Wandaher in a silhouette in her new costume...come on Hot Toys, do it!
