Not enjoying this series so far. Actually fell asleep half way through the space Jesus episode. Ended up watching the other half in case it got better and it didn’t. 0 for 2 with this one. Hopefully the zombies episode is good.

I thought last week's episode was pretty lame, but enjoyed the hell out of this one. We really need to see a correctly done Howard the Duck movie, though. Team him up with Deadpool if you must, but MORE!

Is it just me, or was this week’s episode a bit lazy in the concept/writing dept? My kids were genuinely disturbed with the Hulk scene.

Yeah this week’s was an interesting idea but the ‘What if’ question was basically a spoiler for the episode? Shouldn’t that be the opening hook? But this was closer to the idea I think they should be exploring. This was just to the extreme. Rather than what if Tony Stark died and never became Iron Man, it was what if a character we weren’t introduced yet died and that led to the Avengers dying and never forming?

And why is it they could get everyone but RDJR, Evans, and Scarjo to voice their characters? They’ve got some serious A list talent onboard but those ones not playing ball is almost insulting at this point. We helped you get a dump truck full of money. Could you take 1/2 an hour and record a few lines for a silly little cartoon. Heck, so many VO actors have been literally phoning in their performances lately. It really seems like they should have avoided those characters entirely if they couldn’t get them to reprise their roles.

I think this was ok. The Hulk scene had my mouth gaping lol.... It reminds me of What If Ant Man expanded in Thanos' butt.

Also... Absolutely love to have Coulson there again.

I am really enjoying the series so far. I like the artistic style of the animation and even though there's a few noteworthy voice actors missing, there's still solid voice recognition from the MCU. Sam Jackson can't be duplicated and I actually thought the guy who did Stark was pretty good. Are these perfect? No. Are they a pleasant little diversion while we wait for No Way Home? In my opinion, you bet.

Yes, that was odd. I guess leaving out the
"what if Hope Van Dyne was a SHIELD agent and was killed while on a mission prior to the Avengers' (or even Iron Man's) existence" part
was done to heighten the mystery but it seemed like a bit of a cheat - not that it matters.

I'm fine with voice actors stepping in to do those characters. These movie stars don't need the $ and yet they're landing more of these quick/easy pay days based on name recognition and not because they're necessarily the best choice. A lot of these voice actors actually need these jobs. I thought Lake Bell (who isn't solely a voice actor either) was great as Black Widow.

Yeah, I didn't mind replacement voice actors. Frankly, I wouldn't care if they were all recast. Doesn't affect my experience all that much, though I also agree that Sam Jackson and Hiddleston would be hard to closely imitate, since their voices are so distinctive. I didn't realize that wasn't ScarJo.

I thought this was another very solid, fun episode. Keep going, Disney!

I wasn't 100% sure either. I am however 100% sure they won't be getting ScarJo for future episodes! :)

Irrespective of their relationship with the actress, Marvel made the character a core element to the prior movies. As such, I hope they don't go out of their way to whitewash that moving forward. For Clint to not reference and acknowledge her in the Hawkeye show, for example, would seem very odd.
