BTW Mr. Hughes, how much of a hand did you have in this comiquette? I know you designed it, but did you sculpt and paint it also?

The reason I ask is this. I've noticed the hair on the prototype does not appear very red in this pics we've seen. Is the hair more red than it looks in the pics?

And I love the design and the sculpt, just getting more info.

Thank you.

I just did a sketch and did a color guide, which they decide to use or not use. I WISH I could sculpt!

Thanks for your interest!

Adam, if it is possible, do you happen to have a side-by-side pic of Emma with the Litho? I would just like to get an idea how big the lithos are. Thanks man. Great job as usual. :chew

Well, I have no idea how big Sideshow is gonna print the litho AT.... I did it at 6.627" X 10.187" at 500 dpi, which is how big I do my covers. They're high-resolution enough that Sideshow could do the lithos as big as Emma's shipping box, if they wanted to...

Hey Adam, I live in Atlanta, and I'm tired of being a mortgage banker. Do you need an assistant or do boy apprentice?:D

No, not really. I could probably use a mortgage banker, though.....

AH, just curious have you ever made an attempt to sculpt? I only ask because you said you wished you could sculpt.

I made a turban for a custom 1/6 scale LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN (the comic, not the film) Captain Nemo I'm working on. Does that count? Andy Bergholtz promised me a few lessons someday. I gotta get over to his house someday for those, but he's up to his elbows in crib sauce right now....

SIDESHOW EXCLUSIVE EDITION
The Sideshow Exclusive edition of the White Queen Comiquette includes a copy of the control art created by Adam Hughes. This artwork was used by the figure design and development team to create loveliest, sexiest Emma Frost statue possible. The final print measures 13.8 inches (350.5mm) by 8 inches (203.2mm).

There's the size info right there. I bet they would all be like this. And I'd even wager my Doom PF on it... if I had one.

I'm curious Adam, do they let you guys have the #1 statue or let you choose your number? That would be kinda nice for the creators.

I have no idea...... I'm happy just to get a few free ones.....!

Oh, I thought you did the sculpting also considering you made this:

But seriously, I've only recently discovered your body of work. I've been familiar with your covers since your Slave Leia ROTJ comic cover and a few cards, but only recently have I truly understood how cool your style is.

Not trying to kiss up too much. :p

Oh, I didn't do any sculpting on THAT. I just did some creative kit-bashing. I did a post earlier in this thread about how I did her. There's only Dremeling and glueing of existing stuff going on there.....

Adam did you see the Red Sonja based on a sketch you did a while back being released by DST?

Andy put up his Gray Hulk PF up for sale recently and it wasn't #1.
