My only beef: the storyline does feel like on giant Roster search, as opposed to its own storyline at times. I love every mission, but they could have stuck more Collector related type missions throughout....to give it more of a epic feel...That said, having as much fun with this one as the first...

Epic game!

I played the last mission twice in hopes of keeping everyone alive. Miranda died both times because of the Loyalty. Any way to get her back Loyal after siding with Jack?

I didn't realize you could "side" with any particular character, but I'm guessing you're referring to

...the scene where Miranda and Jack are arguing on the Normandy? I always used the charm/intimidate option to mediate between them.

I think an adept might be a pain to play on insanity. Every enemy has either armor or shields so you have to take those down before your biotics will work on enemies. It's probably doable with the correct team. (Maybe Miranda to overload shields and Mordin to incinerate armor.) Infiltrator has been working out fine for me. The cloak let's you either increase your damage or you can use it to flee enemies. The sniper rifle is nice since you can stand back and nail enemies from afar.

I think I might stop my insanity play through for Bioshock 2 on Tuesday.

I'll take your word for it! It's just that in RPGs that I play, I never go for the heavy-magic type of class, which in Mass Effect would be the Adept. I've been wanting to give it a go for some time now. But Infiltrator sounds like the stronger class for Insanity mode.

All of that is for Mass Effect 3! :D I'm assuming Bioware won't toss away the characters you recruited in ME2 and force you to recruit a whole new batch again. Hopefully that means more story-centric missions.

They've already hinted and such and have many times said who lives and who dies in your final ME2 save will have "major consequences" in your ME3 game, moreso than last time around.

Yeah, Dan, that is what I was referring to. I usually do the same, but I didn't have the option to do either at that moment. Perhaps I just need to go back and play it over again because I'd like them all to survive for ME3.

When do you think we might see ME3?

So I'm in my second playthrough, with a renegade, and something odd happens.

During the stalemate between Morinth and Samara, I'm not given a choice of which person to save. Shepard just automatically ran in and subdued Morinth. I'm pretty sure I didn't accidentally press anything, but has this happened to anyone else?

No, as I said, he's a renegade, so it wouldn't make sense. If anything, he should have done the opposite.

Yup, pretty sure that's the only way to keep the loyalty of both.

I also didn't have enough points to use the charm or intimidate options, so Shepard had no resistance to Morinth's seduction this time. Possibly a factor, although again, it would have made more sense if he'd sided with Morinth as a result of her successful hypnosis.

Just finish the game last night. For those who already finished it...
I would like to know, in the end, Grunt and Jack died in my gameplay. Is these certain character will died or it will depends on who you pick in the final acts?

Nope. One of the things everyone talks about with this game, is...

The fact that your actions will determine who survives the suicide mission; you get a special achievement if all teammates live. I found an interesting FAQ on the subject at IGN, so I'm going to try that one out and see if it works for my second playthrough.

Do what Kain said a couple of pages back and everybody should survive. I did that and everybody survived on the first try.

Yup. Make sure all are loyal and you did the hull plating, shield, and weapons upgrades to the Normandy.

I had:

Legion - door
Garrus - fire team leader both times
Samara - biotic shield
Grunt - escort survivors

Log in to the Cerberus Network tomorrow and you'll be able to grab the new Cerberus Assault Armour and Eviscerator Shotgun for free.

Cerberus Assault Armour increases heavy weapon ammo capacity by +10%, shields by +10% and health by +10%.

The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun is a longer-range shotgun with armour-piercing loads, which violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, meaning the gun isn't normal standard issue.

Thanks for advise. I'm playing second playthrough now. I hope all of them survive this time.

We need some motherhumpin' Mass Effect statues. Bioware + Sideshow. Make it happen.
