I'm going to need a little refresher on the events of ME and ME2..it's been so long! Hopefully ME3 has a nice little intro or recap for us.

Did any of your team members die in ME2? I think I lost Kelly (not really a team member though) and Thane

I didn't lose anybody on my canon Femshep playthrough (was running on adrenaline to rescue my Kelly). Don't think I lost anyone on my secondary Femshep either.

Thane. I meant to play 1 and 2 again and stay faithful to Kaidan. I never had a relationship when I played ME1 before - but I hear that if you had one with him or Ashley and remained faithful in 2 - there will be some kind of story with them in 3. But I never did - though some day I may try it and see what happens.

I didn't care much for Kelly so I let her go But if it was Miranda....then I'd be pissed!

The same applies to L'iara, who i did romance in ME1 and stayed faithful to in ME2 technically (did romance Kelly though it didn't affect anthying with L'iara).

I have a feeling there probably aren't too many who would choose Grunt. I liked him because he made me laugh all the time.

Yea I love Grunt as well Such a great character. Garrus is my favourite though, I feel a lot of history with him and I remember just freaking out when I saw him in ME2. I was SOOOO happy

Just checked....Urdnot Wrex makes it...but no Grunt. WHY!?!?! WHY!?!?! Now I has a sad.

BUT Thane makes an appearance, which means he hasn't died yet...and maybe they found a cure for his illness.

I don't know why Grunt isn't in 3. He survived in my game....hopefully they will at least give an explanation. Maybe he found himself a hot Krogen and is in a relationship and can't be bothered to fight. He better not have died.

They have said that all the important characters will be back in some role, assuming they didn't die, although most might not be squad members. Grunt I think will probably be a temporary squad member, like L'iara in the Shadow Broker DLC.

Maybe he will appear like Garrus did in 2...maybe he is secretly written into the story for shock and awe?
