They have said that all the important characters will be back in some role, assuming they didn't die, although most might not be squad members. Grunt I think will probably be a temporary squad member, like L'iara in the Shadow Broker DLC.

Maybe he will appear like Garrus did in 2...maybe he is secretly written into the story for shock and awe?

I hope you are both right and I'll get to see Grunt one last time.

Grunt and his voice actor are listed in the imdb credits for ME3. So at the very least we should find out what happened to him in a flashback or something with him.

Ugh Jack is back...I'm not going to lie, as much as her character was unique and all, I didn't enjoy her attitude. Did she even contribute in the final mission? I'll be looking to remove her from my crew at the first chance I can get! I need loyal teammates, not anarchists!

She did contribute if you used her instead of Samara as the biotic for the shield (helped to prevent a squad death if I remember right).

I actually used Jack a few times...though it wasn't until the very end that I finally got her loyal. I primarily used Miranda and Mordin for most of my missions. Then at the end I had Garrus lead all the fire teams and had Grunt and Miranda for my partners in the final battle.

I don't think I ever used her aside from her loyalty mission - even used Samara on the suicide mission .

My Femshep is a vanguard so I got my biotics covered.

What preorder incentives did you guys get? I ordered with Futureshop (in Canada) and I'm getting the steel book case!

I usually go with Bestbuy (and the PO rifle looks cool) but I had a $25 Futureshop gift card that I'd been looking to spend

I PO the Collectors Edition months ago at Gamestop so getting the rifle and the defender armor( i think that's the name).

I preordered the Limited Collectors Edition from GameStop. Don't really know what incentives I get...or what comes with the Limited Edition. I just love this game so much that I decided to splurge for the last one in the trilogy.

I really wish that they would have put of the squadmates from ME2 in this one. It's going to be awkward not having some of them on the ship as available squad members.

Good call! I'm still in University so I try to keep things to the bare minimum and avoid the luxuries of most game's "collector's editions" and stuff.

The only character I lost at the end of ME2 was Thane. I had a sad. He's one of the coolest side characters in the game. I was gonna go back and replay, but I talked myself in not doing so that way my one and only save and play-through on ME1 and ME2 are directly linked to ME3. Like one big super game

Me too! I really enjoyed Thane's character and was super bummed when he died. But oh well, I accepted what happened and will avenge him in ME3

My Femshep was a soldier - using a maxed out Adrenaline and maxed out Inferno and Disrupter ammo. I also had a maxed out Reave for my skill. That thing was awesome - I hope they have it in 3. Reave saved my ass so many times.

Yeah, most of the ME2 squad members will be only temporary members or just straight unavailable which is a little sad, but I'd rather have some the original members than the ME2 ones.
