The working demo at SDCC was good. You'll be happy to know that the controls are mostly the same, with a couple additions for the amp blade. The skill tree is good. They made improvements to it, but not quite back to ME1. Similar to ME2 you upgrade powers and abilities, but after the main 3 upgrades for each it branches into 2 different specializations. The demo also revealed a little of the story that I kind of figured would happen.

BioWare and Dark Horse have revealed an expansive hardcover book, packed full of the incredible art behind the Mass Effect universe, aptly titled ' The Art of the Mass Effect Universe'. Complete with input and commentary from the Mass Effect team, the book thrusts the art from Mass Effect 3 into the spotlight, as well as offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at the franchise.

“Mass Effect 3 is the climax of the greatest sci-fi epic of our generation, so it’s only fitting that Dark Horse up the ante as well,” said Dark Horse editor Dave Marshall. “The Art of the Mass Effect Universe will reveal reams of never-before-seen artwork that was created during the development of this modern masterpiece.”

You'll be able to get your hands on Dark Horse's 'The Art of the Mass Effect Universe' in February 2012 for $39.99. Until then, why not look out for the Mass Effect: Invasion comic book series, also from Dark Horse, available from October 19th, 2011. There'll also be a collection of the previous comic book series, Mass Effect: Evolution launching on September 21st, 2011.

Mass Effect 3 is out March 6th, 2012.

I'm going to be pissed if they change her default face for ME 3. I've been default female Shepherd for every play through in both games. Her hair was already red so at least that didn't change.

It won't change your character. It'll recognize your face code from your save file.

What I'll be pissed about is that they come up with this official FemShep in the third game and they don't make it possible to play with that same appearance through 1 and 2.

Preordered the collector edtion...I have a new rule with CEs. If it cant fit on a normal bookshelf next to the other games, not getting them. Luckily, ME3 has a similar style to the ME2 CE. I really regret getting the epic edition gow3....
