Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

I've been loving this line since it was first released, but could not afford it...
Check the Muppet Central forum, there's a bunch of puppet builders that have awesome work!!
Are you a member? I am :) Lots of weirdos around there, though. . .and yes, I mean to say that they are weirder, on average, than people here, which is saying something.

BTW, the Gonzos are now in stock at BBTS, though they are $80 + $25 shipping (at least to me). So, you could probably get one cheaper through Amazon or something.

Do you know how much they sell Kermit for?

Yep, very passionate weird people there... ha ha ha
I don't post there that often... SPecific themes forum tend to have some very weird characters... that's why I like these place better!!
I don't know what to do about Gonzo... cheap price but man...
they're huge and I don't have too much space...

How much cheaper than $105 do you need?

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

Dude, you've got Animal. How can you pass up an awesome Gonzo at that price to complement him? :)

I actually checked out the review over at Muppet Central earlier today, and it looks much better than the promo pics that were released.

Hey, its cheap enough for me. I ordered him from there (though it was $10 cheaper). But, $15 is $15:

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

He does look pretty good. If they had done a Dr.Teeth or Rowlf, I probably would have paid the full price for one of those.

Don't forget Zoot. He's been my favorite since I've been a kid, cool and mysterious.

I've got the Palisades Zoot figure and statue. I love his design and personality.

But I would prefer Rowlf, Dr. Teeth, or Link Hogthrob over Zoot.

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

Speaking of Palisades, check out the pics, beginning at post #110.
Very nice, fairly comprehensive collection. Did you pick up any of the unreleased prototypes that were floating around on EBay for awhile? The Sesame Street guys looked particularly cool.

Here are some of my Muppets:

Not quite as imposing as your army :D

I had Henson, but traded him for Red Shirt Zoot, who I eventually sold when I got Yellow Shirt version.

There were very few pieces I was missing. White Tux Rowlf, Christmas Kermit, Kermit/Piggy Wedding... and maybe just a couple of others. I lucked out on an Ebay lot deal, got everything for around $600, kept for a year, then parted them out. Plus I bought sealed figures too. That was the beginning of my collection addiction.

No interest in prototypes. Let me guess, as sold by Corn Dog Collectibles? I've since sold all the palisades figures, and made a couple grand in the process.

My red shirt Zoot sold for $385, no kidding.

Yep, Corndog. As you probably know, that guy is the former owner of Palisades, which explains why he had so much cool stuff.

I have seen the Zoots go for a lot, but not that much! Wow. Too bad you sold your stuff. I don't think I could let this stuff go unless I was broke and jobless (suffice it to say, there is a very real possibility that they won't make it through the year :( ). The Electric Mayhem is probably my single favorite set of "collectibles" that I own.

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

Here is my Palisades muppets (boxed, carded stuff not included)

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

All those variants in the Palisades line?!?! Wow, what a effin' nightmare!

Great set though and one of those lines I really wish hadn't passed on completely. I wouldn't mind a few of those figs to go with the posers.

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

At one point I had each and every release from the Palisades line, but once I found out Sesame Street was a no go, I really lost interest. Those were the ones I was reallly looking forward too but now doubt anyone will ever make them.

Yeah, that was one line where I think they overdid it. Some of the variants sell for a lot of $$$... kind of makes it an unattractive option to try and get caught-up :lol

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

Speaking of Muppets has anyone decided to bite the bullet and make a Whatnot?

Muppets Whatnot Workshop

As of right now you can only do this either by A: Mail or B: Physically going into the New York FAO Schwartz but apparently Disney just announced that they'll be bringing Whatnot workshops into their Orlando and Anaheim parks like Build-A-Bears every soon. I'm actually going to give it a shot if its open when I head down to LA this July.

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

I want to get on of those...I heard the news about the stores @ the parks!!
I'll have to go to Anaheim once they open the shop!

At one point I had about 80% of the Muppet Palisades collection, but then I decided to shrink it down to only core characters and versions.
I sold most of the variants, except Adventure Kermit and Kermit Reporter, as well as 2 Gonzo versions I had... I'm tempted to sell the backstage as it goes for a pretty penny, but I don't want to lose Rowlf...
