Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

Yep, Corndog. As you probably know, that guy is the former owner of Palisades, which explains why he had so much cool stuff.

I have seen the Zoots go for a lot, but not that much! Wow. Too bad you sold your stuff. I don't think I could let this stuff go unless I was broke and jobless (suffice it to say, there is a very real possibility that they won't make it through the year :( ). The Electric Mayhem is probably my single favorite set of "collectibles" that I own.

Actually Ken was just an employee not the owner.

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

Very nice, fairly comprehensive collection. Did you pick up any of the unreleased prototypes that were floating around on EBay for awhile? The Sesame Street guys looked particularly cool.

Here are some of my Muppets:

One of my favorites. My name is actually on the back of the box of this set. I'll have to post pics of my Muppets when I can get them set up. I have them stored right now.

Really? I misunderstood when others talked about him. That's impressive that he ended up with all that stuff, then.

AWESOME! I have those same Kubricks. I still need the chase Beaker figure though... :(
I'm missing Beaker, too :(

The Pigs in Space are right behind my Electric Mayhem as my favorites of the line.

Ken had alot of insight and say on the Palisades Muppets line and he was the spokesman on the palisades collectors club.....he was more than just an employee...he had a specially made exclusive (kermit and piggy) for his wedding. So I think he was more than just an employee :)

I actually spoke with him online (as I was buying a wedding set for my wife from him) and got some answers on the sesame street line and why it didnt make it and about the the rumored Darth Nader figure (Gonzo)

they had planned a Starwars Muppet Series, but thanks to lucas, it didnt go!

He was pretty awesome to chat with and seemed disapointed as I was the muppet line had to end plus the Sesame Street line unable to get off the ground

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

Yeah, I couldnt remember Ken's title. Im actually friends with him and Travis. Have gotten some of the harder to get figures from them. :)

I was one of the first 500 to join the collectors club and got the Clear "Invisible" Beaker figure.

I seen alot of the proto's for Sesame Street that didnt get made. It kills me the awesome looking Count Von Count and Cookie Monster figures didnt get made.

Yeah, I saw those Series 2 protos of the sesame street line (what a shame)
the count, bert, and cookie monster were so sweet! and big bird too!

I was lucky to see the series 1 sesame street at the philly wizard con...they were just as great as the muppets line

The Muppets line is one of the best action figure lines in its existance of the decade

I saw the Sesame series 1 protos, too. At MegaCon. I so wanted that Oscar and Ernie.

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

Here's a few shot of my collection as it is currently displayed.
I have a few more on storage but once I get a new shelving unit, I can display them all together.
Sorry for the crappy pics...

Man, those figures do make for an impressive display. Palisades really got it right with that series.

That's very odd considering Disney just put out a boxset of pvc figures with the Muppets as SW characters... Regardless, I still would have loved a set of them from Palisades...

not really that odd..like everything...its all about money. Palisades (being a small 3rd party toy maker) had to pay Lucas a license fee and it was too much to produce a series of starwars muppets and make it cost effective.Lucas price was just too high just to borrow the license for a short time to only produce a couple figures (darth Nader being one of them)

Somehow they got permission to make the Indy Kermit from speilberg

I can see that...

That's because it was called Adventure Kermit,
it wasn't and "Official" licensed Indiana Jones product.
So they didn't pay Lucas or Speilberg anything.

Adv. Kermit kicks all sorts of ass. It's the only Muppet I still have left besides the Kitchen w/Chef. I was in the club at the beginning and had almost all the regulars but sold them years back when I needed the $$$...

I kept bugging Ken about The Ghost of Samuel Arrow. I think he got tired of me asking about him. Probably why they made one.

Re: Master Replica Muppets Line Dead!

I guess this thread has been around a while, but I just found it. Too bad. I wasn't interested in getting these Muppets at their prices, but I wouldn't have minded having them. I was really waiting for Pepe, though. Would have gotten him, no question.
