what really sucks is that i am having trouble holding my double whopper with my hurt finger.:(

In high school, I had a friend that ate a six stack burger at BK because we knew the guy who worked there. It was gross.

Also muscles are for the weak.

if i had muscles like Ski, i would open my soda by squeezing the can til it popped open and all the soda flew in an arch into my glass in my other hand. kinda like when pop-eye opens his spinach.

Great figures! Appaling artwork.

Given the fact that Mattel already used my art to launch the brand...this is especially annoying to see such amateurish art on the boxes. My dream job! :gah:

Anyways....

the Art isn't that bad Eamon....besides,who is buying these pieces for the Artwork anyway?

While it's not aweful, it's definitely not the standard you'd expect to see at retail. Look at Marvel box arts for instance.
Nor does it even come close to the vintage card illustrations which this is an attempt to be like.

I'll probably end up picking these up when I see them at toys arn't us...at least Stratos and Hawkman set

Thanks again to Scott aka Mesa for Gygor! The beers were nice but the food at RTO' Sullivans gave me the RTO' Runnigans. Next time Chinese. :(

Yeah, not all THAT excited about the other two packs.

I've gotten everything (except the Bronze Grayskull, still eludes me), so I imagine I might as well get these too. I suppose if I end up with a Justice League figure set, that'd be alright, though I'm not sure I'll open them. Maybe on a rainy day...

Yikes!!! Those do look awful... why didn't just re-use some vintage art? :dunno... or at least commissioned it to someone with more talent...

It IS bad... Eamon is right, MOTU has always been associated with kick-*** art... this looks terrible... they could've done something like the other 2-packs...

I might get both 2-packs....

I still regret selling my Bronze Grayskull... :monkey2

BTW, thanks to TOKYONEVER from the .org,
some pics of the new weapons pack and Shadowbeast!

but does the artwork really matter? geesh...are people not buying these for the figures? the ART is the figure itself IMO

Has Teemu always been like this?

Yes it matters! As Kuzeh said, MOTU always had great art.
That was one of the things the made it so great to begin with.

Cheap looking packaging does not help with sales. And again, this is retail.
