TJ isn't scheduled for another re-release anytime soon as far as i know.

:rotfl You changed it.

some of the Org'ers are saying they are done with Mattel for not telling them about Vikor's shipment being late or not being ready for the non-subscribers...how many times have we heard people say they quit but keep coming back

Sorry, but my collectibles money is currently going into finishing my vintage Kenner Star Wars collection. :wave

Cool. I'm curious to know what kids today think of cartoons from back then. Does she like?

She likes them. We watched four in a row and she laughed a number of times. I gave her a She-Ra figure and she had fun posing her.

:ohbfrank: he's dead to us.

yeah, vintage was cool for its time but today's standards in sculpt and articulation blows away the old...

I have a friend who collects everything vintage..(was just over his place the other day) and looking at them now...the only thing of starwars vintage that was really cool, were the vehicles/playsets

He has everything MOTU and I saw the Eternia playset the first time ever (its huge) and he has all the figures on the wall displayed with the vintage figure and classics figure..(the classics figure makes the vintage figure look soo lame)...he had POP vintage too! (they were Horrible!!!!)

I am just saying, today's sculpting standards wipes the vintage's stuff ass!

I know most of you guys collect MOTUC because you had the original figures. I was into SW more than anything, so that's why I'm finishing them off.

Yeah, bottom line is, despite Digital River and all its faults, Mattel is still making arguably the BEST action figure line out there right now.

Ordering sucks at times, but in the end, it's worth it.

I agree, people who talk crap about vintage end up looking terribly ignorant, and to be quite honest, just plain rude. It's one thing to prefer newer stuff, but there's no reason to be insulting about it. This stuff meant a lot to us back in the day, after all (and in many cases still does).

A lot of vintage stuff, despite having less articulation, is very pleasing aesthetically, and has the extra factors of being older, hard to find in mint condition, the first incarnation of its respective property, etc... Nothing will ever replace the originals, imo.

I predict another Horde member later this year.....Mantenna :)

or this member could turn up as the SDCC exclusive- Modulok

I would love either of those - two of my favourites back in the day (especially Modulok)! :)

Going for loose since they're more affordable. I have about 30 figures to go. I also plan on getting the ships and playsets.

It will take some time, but it will be a fun ride. My daughter already had fun looking at the ones I have and even helps me open the ones I get in the mail. :love

You're dead to me. For someone who has a hard-on for all things "Classics" why would you ____ on the OG action figure? If it wasn't for Star Wars we wouldn't have most of the 80's icons. MOTU included. :panic:

I wasnt being ignorant...and while the Vintage stuff is cool for its time..(I had most of all Starwars,He-Man,G.I.Joe,Transformers as a kid) and it still doesnt measure up to the standard in sculpting of today as much as anyone wants to argue.I had most of everything in the 80's,but looking at now vs then..there is no comparison on the majority of toy lines...I wasnt dissing Waller at all until he made his point that he is dumping MOTU Classics and said (in our classics forum) that he was spending that money on vintage starwars (and I was kidding,as I believe he was too by his responses.)

Collect what you like, but why rub it in our faces...and say goodbye MOTU Classics when there is so much more greatness coming in this line...it is all I am really saying :)

yeah until Hasbro put out the OTC Trilogy Collections (with superior articulation and sculpts)

I disagree that without Starwars we would not have our Icons in MOTU and especially in G.I.Joe....G.I.Joe ruled the land just like starwars did in the 80's

I base my arguement on Sculpts and detail...something that alot of the "Classic 80's toys" didnt have and because 80's nostalgia is still big,is why we are getting better sculpted toys for the older collector

Why would I want 80's He-Man,when I can have the better MOTU Classics?

I can't read this because you're on ignore. :wink1: And I am just busting your chops, I am so happy with the MOTU Classics I am going to sell my vintage MOTU collection. Also I would try and save my Kenner SW collection if I was in a house fire.

just got vikor. he is pretty cool. all the joints are super tight. hopefully this is the new norm.

i don't know if it has been mentioned but tytus is being re-released next month for those who missed it.

I agree with you about the newer figures being much better than the older figures. Sculpting and articulation have come a long way.

I didn't mean any disrespect to this thread about dropping out of the MOTUC line. I have a few friends on this board that collect them and I intend to drop by this thread every now and then.

What I said earlier was true. I am no longer getting MOTUC figures and will instead put that money into finishing my vintage SW line. SW came out when I was 9 and pretty much defined my childhood. Aside from some Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars, they're the only toys I still have.

When MOTUC hit the air, I was 15 and busy with high school. I watched the occasional episode, but didn't really get into the show until the series came out on DVD. Hell, I love most of the 80s cartoons, but don't have the attachment to them to where I feel the need to buy figures/collectibles of them.

Hope that makes sense. :wave

personally i can't even look at MOTU vintage figures the same way since this Classics line started. a few years ago i was gonna start collecting the vintage figures because i wanted a kickass MOTU collection and the 200x stuff wasn't very appealing to me. but i didn't have a lot of funds at the time so i put the idea on hiatus. then they previewed this line and i was like OMG!!!!:panic: i'm so glad i waited. though i still have a few of my older figures in storage and i don't plan on ever getting rid of them.
