Somebody over the Matty forums are claiming a leak for one of the SDCC MOTU items (3-pack) which it will be Gwildor,Blade,Sauron

Hmm interesting! Could Mattel have gotten the rights to make figures from the movie and starting it off with a 3 pack?

I still think its the Star Sisters....but I guess we'll see sometime next week

I would LOVE those figures.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I really liked the movie as a kid. While it was disappointing not to see classic bad guys like Trap Jaw or Mer Man, the designs for Blade, Sauron, and the others were great. And Gwildor? Sure, I'll take a Gwildor.

Toyguru said from the begining that they have always had the rights to do these figures. But that they don't have the rights to the other character designs from the movies. So I would put money on those 3 if it's a 3 pack
if you play the parts game, (example we knew Buzz off was close when we saw his parts on whiplash.) Then a movie 3 pack would make sense we have already seen the cosmic key once and TG said when, not if we see Gwlidor he would have a variation on that.
As for the other MOTU:TM designs I wonder if they could make a movie He-Man and call it battle grounds he-man or something? Just a thought I have always loved the movie and wanted a moive He-man.

I love the MOTU movie, and yes I know how bad it is.

To those of you saying it's awesome, how long ago did you last watch it, and were you sober? It only counts if you were sober.

Yes I'm serious. Granted, Conan Get's watchable once the break into the Temple and steal from James earl Jones, but before that, it's just..... Watch Arnold run. Watch Arnold have sex, watch Arnold run some more, watch Arnold have more sex while some guy narrates it. If they cut out about 90% of that, or streamlined it onto a montage, It'd be better.


Short version, It's better when it's on tv, than if you watch the full version.


TO play my own devils advocate, It does have less Cringe-moments than Dolf-man.



and, as is ALLWAYS the case, the comics, and novels are infinitely superior to the films.

You're definitely in the minority - I doubt all these reviewers were drunk. Maybe some, not all.

I think the last time I watched it was... hmm, at most four years ago? Maybe less (and yes, I was sober!). I will admit that it's a bit slow-paced at times, but if that's what you mean by "unwatchable" well then I don't know what to say.

I mean, are you able to watch the Seven Samurai? Or is that "unwatchable" too?

Nope, seven samurai ( the original, IF they made a remake, I don't want to know ab out it) Was awesome. And yes, that's what I mean by unwatchable. it put me to sleep. twice.


Let me be clear here. The he-man movie is NOT a better film, but it's more watchable. The same could be said of most popcorn films.

I see your point, although I use the term "fun".

Like, maybe, Return of the Jedi can be more fun to watch, for me at least, than the first Star Wars. Not a better film, just more fun - easy to watch again and again. SW is too, don't get me wrong, just saying it's a bit less so - but then again I was born in '77, so I kind of "grew up" with ROTJ.

But I digress! I agree that the MOTU movie was a fun film, and I watched it quite a few times as a kid. I would absolutely love to have pretty much any of the characters in Classics form!
