Well that first answer, perhaps the most pertinent one, doesn't really answer the question.

i'm sorry, but these mystery packs are one of the dumbest ideas i've heard of in a long time. why don't they just put the stuff back up for sale? everything is long sold out. i'm sure people who are new to line would love to get some figures that they've missed.

I get why they wouldn't just put the stuff up for sale. That makes sense if they have 300 of figure X but not 30. I think it's just a logistical thing and these sorts of sales are far from a new idea.

I can't wait to read the complaints about the mystery packs not living up to what they paid for...I can't believe people would buy these

i second that. he would look so much cooler with that finish. man i swear its like mattel plays catch up to features that should have been implemented earlier.

If there's one thing that has been clear since day one of this line is that Mattel mangement has never been 100% behind it. Look at the amount of blunders that have been made and allowed to slide, backwards shoulders, soft hands, missing sword holders, retracted second headsulpts etc. Now that they've seen that it's still popular after all their balls-ups they've probably decided to allocate a little more money to tooling and finish that just wasn't there for when He-Ro was made. The most obvious example of this probably being true is that only now are we finally getting a vehicle in the line.

definitely true....here is hoping one of those 5 announcements is an announcement of getting a playset (Castle Grayskull) in 2012

Little underwhelmed by Hordak. Guess I just don't see why we needed another one. I don't mind having him - just not sure where he will be displayed, if at all.

Other than the BA He-Man and Skelly, all the "redos" of the main characters were after my time, probably why I don't really care about them.

Finally getting around to opening more of these! Looks like Matty customer service is taking care of my BA Skeletor... Well, I guess we'll see when they email me again. So far I've opened Panthor, Catra, Grizzlor, Buzz-Off, Whiplash and Sy-Clone so far.
