anybody want to guess the next few releases?

my guess

Sept- Fisto
Oct- Trap Jaw
Nov- Teela (extra fig he-man)
Dec- Evil Lyn (extra fig skeletor)

Jan- bo (pop)
Feb- Man e faces
March- She-ra (pop) (extra fig battlecat)
April- Whiplash

just wondering, why are these so expensive?

I guess I'm still living in 2000 when LOTR figures were $7.

Good gravy. Man, you really gotta give up that ghost and realize the price of things goes up or has gone up. You might actually enjoy collecting more again if you did. I really think you expect everything to be as cheap as possible which does not happen often at all

I agree 100%.

I've been ordering three, so no each one is not $28.

Three at a time? Well then you know better than most how expensive this line is. Imagine walking into a Target and seeing them released like normal figures, a wave of 6 different figures hanging on the shelves at $27.99 each. That's what people are paying (or more, as Badvermin mentioned) who just want one of each in their collection.

these may be on the expensive side but they are really nice figures. and i'm not just saying that cuz i love the line. they seem to be pretty high quality for a 6in figure. lots of detail in the sculpting and paint aps, and great articulation. you really need to see one in hand to appreciate them.

REPOSTED- I want to see opinions on your personal forecast

don't know if we'll see teela and evil lynn back to back. teela will be happening this year for sure, obviously. trap jaw will probably happen very quick as well since he is a popular character. i'm thinking maybe Buzz-off this year as well, instead of Fisto. not looking foward to the POP stuff. wish they would just make that a different line. i probably won't get the POP stuff. it will depend on what it looks like.

i'm just glad the line seems to be taking off. so we will probably see some unique sculpted characters like ram-man and two-bad for sure.

TVs have gone down in price, when I'm debating spending $1200 on a 65" DLP screen to replace my 42" rear projection that also cost $1200 5 years ago...that seems like a bargain compared to toys that have doubled or tripled over that time frame.

Its my money and I can be frugal or cheap if I want to. I haven't exactly tripled my income in that last 5 years. I'm cheap, but it means I have other things that are important like a house of my own and debt free.

If you are worried about the price of these, just buy four each release. Sell off three, and you have a free figure and a few bucks to buy some beer on "opening package" night! Of course this only works when Matty fills your orders!

But in regard of the price, they are well worth it. The packaging is really nice if you are a MIB collector. The figures themselves are top notch. I have to agree with the Craw, I like these better then money also. I can't think of anything else I get that much enjoyment for the price/item. I just wish they would implement the subscription service so I wouldn't even have to fool with ordering them every month. It would be awesome just to get a random MOTU package every month. :peace

Well, toys have gone up. Thats fine and its your choice to not by them but griping about the price sure as heck won't make them go down honestly. Just not gonna happen.

I'm hoping for Trap-Jaw, Man-E-Faces and Roboto before the end of the year. Webstor could be pretty cool too and I'd love to see an updated Spikor.

A few pics to keep the thread going. I painted up the Grayskull gun and..

I guess I'm still living in 2000 when LOTR figures were $7.

I saw the new Marvel 3.75" figures selling for $7.99 at TRU and Walmart sells the DCUC 6" for about $12 and these figures are nowhere near the quality of MOTUC. The mass market toys aren't designed for collectors and don't have as great accessories either.

They're $28, which is basically $30 a pop, unless you've figured out a way to buy these without having them shipped to you.

Don't forgot the cost of driving to the store to pick up other figures. I don't mind the shipping, the $8 covers the cost of a few gallons of gas, which is easy enough to spend in a day of driving back and forth.
