Hmm... it's very close. Teela was my #1 for ages. And she has the advantage of the fully painted face... but I feel like Netossa's sculpt has just a smidge more personality.

Looks really good, even though I'm not too crazy about the Filmation figures, but the 4H do an amazing job on these oddball figures.

Moving swiftly past some casual racism.....I think Netossa's face is the one of the best female face sculpts out so far.

Still a figure I couldn't care less for though and she would look way better if she had her helmet.

Yeah, the cape just isn't executed as well as it could be. I really think they should have just gone to soft goods. They said this cape was expensive, and I don't think the final look was worth it. Curling the corners helps, some, but it just looks so much less dynamic compared to the other sculpted capes. I'd rather this had twists and folds if it was in plastic, even if you couldn't use it as a "weapon" that way. To me, this is a compromise that doesn't do much good either way. Plus, the fact the "reverse" side is the side facing front and loses all the net detail... not great. I am going to try to get some netting (getting two Netossa's since I have two subs) and replace the interior of the cape and see if that looks any better I think, as an experiment. That being said, her overall presence on the shelf is very nice.

Even if it is, it doesn't matter. IMO it's not a good way for a company to present themselves. Hell though, even if you look at Mattel over the years and how they have represented themselves publicly, particularly with Barbie they do and say a lot of obviously stupid stuff.

The only reason I can think of... is that maybe it's such a large tool, and that with the holes there is some more labor cost involved making sure the holes are molded correctly? That's all I could think of. They make large capes with other figures and can still include all the accessories. I agree it seems very odd, especially after raising the prices so they weren't supposed to have to cut accessories. The first release of the year has one accessory and now you have to buy another weapon's pak to get everything.

I honestly think the real reason is that they cost the line out over the whole year, and in order for, say, Fang Man to get all his awesome accessories Netossa lost her mask and sword. But there would be people screaming bloody hell if they actually came out and said that.

I didn't see any sort of racist remark from Teemu. He just stated that he likes the Teela face sculpt better. Just because he said "if you like black chicks" does not make that a racist remark. He didn't say it in a condescending way nor did he use any racial slurs. People get so hung up on offending anybody that you cannot make a simple statement anymore.
