Finally got Netossa after her tour around the US... :lol
I gotta say, she turned out very good... Great paint apps on the face and overall, great job by Mattel...
If I were to keep her, I would exchange the cape... I know it's her "signature" weapon, but it is pretty bad...

Everything else looks great... now I see why people were complaining about Frosta... :lol

In any case, my favorite female face of all the MOTUC ladies is Adora by far...

"Unless you're into black chicks" was an exceedingly poor choice of words. It implies that black girls are more of an exotic choice than a their white counterparts. You might not have been aware of it, but it's there.

These are toys anyway, no one should be attracted to these to begin with. Race and jokes about attractiveness are best left to bad stand up routines.

For me it comes down to overall character design. An amazon that throws nets is pretty weak without any discernable gladiator elements in her look. The insistence on giving all these girls cute little skirts does not lend itself well to MOTU. She definitely could have benefited without it.

:lecture I'm sure it was really funny in Teemu's head but it didn't really translate well in his post. Still, what was said was said so time to move on...and enjoy this figure...

I am looking forward to Jitsu and Clamp Champ who are both ethnic characters (dare I say chinese and black, get over it seriously)

I didn't see the comment as particularly racist either, although you may should have worded it a bit differently. I did get a chuckle from the last portion of your comment however, as it sounds like that typical disclaimer some people give prior to or after saying something contoversial. I.E. "I'm not racist because".........Even if it was a poor choice of words its not as if you have to explain yourself to anyone by stating how much you look forward to the releases of other ethnic characters.:wink1:

People get so hung up on offending anybody that you cannot make a simple statement anymore.

:exactly:

That should go without saying, even if there are those that can go overboard when admiring the aesthetics of well sculpted figures.

It's alright Teemu. Listen, let's just agree ahead of time that you send me your shipment of Clamp Champ okay?

Wow, it's even more casual than I thought.

Sign of the times I guess.

:rolleyes2

Me thinks Mosquitor and Ninjor are Racist too.... their figure's are mostly all black plastic...

Nah,I am keeping Clamp Champ (keeping the other MOC also for now)....I always was a fan of humans in MOTU,while I never had him as a kid, he'll be cool to add to the collection (black or white ;))

Hey all, I've only just started getting into MOTU Classics, and am looking for Teela. It looks like it has been reissued, as many of the figures have been. But most online stores (ToyArena, BBTS, ActionFigureVault etc) all indicate it is sold out!

Does anyone know if Teela will be reissued again this year? I'd hate to get many of the main cast that I know, but miss out on her.....

Last we heard, Teela will never be reissued. :(

So the best thing to do is snap her up if you can find her second hand.

Folks - is there any word whether NINJOR will get his due at all??

I don't really keep up with all the latest MOTUC goss..

Not yet, but he's definitely on their list to finish out the line. Scott did say he was going to focus on the remaining vintage figures as long as the line continues.

Ok,based on that we are expecting to get at least 2 new tooling figures in '13 (possibly more)....

I am predicting Mantenna's debut at Toyfair(with Castaspella),but figuring out what the rest of the year's lineup could be....Ninjor just may show up at the end of '13 ;)

Two-bad could surprise this year too,but I think he is being saved for '14 as the Sub pusher (like Ram Man)

this is my forecast

Feb-Jitsu/Ram Man
Mar-Fangman/King He-Man
Apr-Snakeface
May-Karatti/Fighting Foe Men
June-Octavia
July-Clamp Champ/NA He-man ............. SDCC-Lodar or Madam Razz
Aug-Mantenna
Sept-Castaspella
Oct-Lord Dactus ................. Horde Troopers or Skeleton Warriors
Nov-Geldor
Dec-Ninjor ............... Castle Grayskull Playset

Filmation (depending on how many they'll do extra in the year)

and yes we are getting additional Filmation Sku's in '13...they could be two-packs or singles

Strongarm (will be called Strong-or)
Shokoti
Seahawk
Lord Masque

Frank & Teemu - thank you! :hi5:

I'm so glad I've stayed right away from the Matty collector site. To put it politely, the whole affair's been one huge cluster **** so far. That said - I salute you troopers who've hung in there till now. :lol

I've only got the big four at the moment; He-Man, Skeletor, MAA & Mer-Man. I'm hoping to get Ram-Man at some stage, & Ninjor would complete my little MOTUC collection beautifully.

So many great characters made now, but I'm only after the ones that resonated with ME growing up. Originally, I planned on buying all the figures I had as a kid, but that went out the window pretty fast. :lol

I'm still there though sometimes I feel like a hostage to my own nostalgia... but we do have quite a few awesome figures yet to be made.
