They do seem pretty cocky with the repeated "If you don't like it just cancel before August 30th" comments Toyguru keeps throwing in fans faces. I'd love to see how the powers that be at Mattel would appreciate those comments if 60% of those who preordered actually *did* cancel.

I can't imagine that many people canceling their order. I think that'd be crazy. All we lost was a grate and an inch or two. I don't love the size of the dungeon walls and I wish the door was larger. But it's still going to look amazing.

it does look amazing, but its the prototype, the prototype always looks amazing most of the time.

SDCC will be the true test when the final piece is shown.I think it would go a long way if they lowered/fixed the height of the door (like the suggstions shown on he-man.org thread)

there is a legitimate concern here and hopefully the Mattel designer's will take it into consideration. To say they can't change nothing is bull****,because they definitely can

like khev said, what if 60% decide to cancel??? there will be alot of Castle Grayskull overstock

As for lowering the door, I did wonder if that'd hurt the aesthetics, but actually you could make the rocky lower part uneven so that it "stepped" down right int front of the door. I think that'd be cool. I honestly find the huge base kind of confusing. It just doesn't seem necessary.

I get why the door is so important as it's the focal point but it seems like everywhere you can put a figure where there's a roof the figure barely fits in with their head crammed against the ceiling.

I mean just look at Fisto and Roboto here. It's not just a trick of perspective either. I couldn't find the pic but there's one direct on side view of where Fisto is standing and his head is touching the floor above him.

It's not an inch or two smaller. It's more like five which IS a pretty big deal when you're dealing with something in 6.5" figure scale.

My guess is...the Original Vintage Castle was Small too when you really look at it,so maybe that is why its replicated similiar Scale to the 6"??

The Castle should be bigger, but it seems like everything they did was try to replicate this Castle to the Original

And that's the biggest mistake right there. Here was Mattel's chance to make the best incarnation of the castle but all they did was make a bigger version of the vintage one. It's like note for note.

Personally, I would have preferred a more expensive castle, than a shrunken one with fewer features.

Charge me $300 and give me an ultimate CG and everyone wins!

I was excited to have a BETTER castle than I had as a kid. This is only basically the same as the one from 30 years ago.

I would've preferred a straight up Filmation version of the castle. That's what I grew up with and what I think looks the best and most imposing.

Yes, MOTUC Grayskull is a larger and more refined version of the original prototype, just like we have been told repeatedly from the beginning. It's turning out almost exactly as it should in that regard.

Now, the Funimation Grayskull has a wonderfully imposing front façade, but the other four sides look like piles of rubble overgrown with petrified vines. If we were getting just a backdrop for a diorama, then I'd be all for having the front façade of the Filmation Grayskull made, but since we're getting a full on playset, then sticking with the original toy design is best in my opinion.

Faker was sold at a significant discount during the after Thanksgiving sale. I don't see many people willing to pay $27 plus shipping for him only a few months later.

Pretty sure Dare Son of He-Man was around 1995.

New Adventures came before and in was 1990 so I have no idea why there would ever be an NA He-Man labeled as Dare.

I fond that part of the walk through video a bit odd.

NA armour is not "Dare" armour.

My two conclusions of the SDCC figure will be Dare or Filmation Hordak with Imp (white crossbow that has been shown)

It will probably be the latter, because its Filmation's year in Classics

Either, Or BOTH would be good.

Perhaps we will see Filmation hordak with Dare, as a two-pack.

and have Filmation Hordak be a version of him from the future, in Dare's time, with cybernetic enhancements, as far as the Bio's go?
