Seeing these in-hand pics, I have to agree with the rest of you--Grayskull does look a bit smallish and out of scale with the figures :(

I betcha if Mattel could get away with it (takiing away more plastic),this would be our MOTUC Grayskull

I got my shipping notice for my Ram-Man and Jitsu back on the 10th of February and I’ve been waiting two weeks now. I have been checking the tracking but it only says that Cornerstone Logistics has “Received THE SHIPPING INFORMATION”, nothing about actually receiving the package or any movement towards me. I finally call Matty and after a few phone calls I find out that my figures where never sent and that they’re telling the same idiots “AGAIN” to ship my figures $123.35 worth. I told them ever since they switched to this new shipping company it’s taken longer to get my figures and now; I’m not getting him at all. I wasn’t happy and I said if I don’t see some movement soon they’d be hearing back from me. If that doesn’t get something moving I’ll be calling my credit card company.

Well i just modeled mine after Zombihamma's colours as best as I could but I think he used a bit more green in his.

The great think about the dry brush method is that you can build up and look and build up and look again to see if you are going to bright or too dark.

I would go in with some more lighter tones just a little bit around the towers. But either way, it still looks great to me. :)

Cheers mate :) I had Zombiehammers's and your castle as reference pics when I did mine. Wish I nailed the door like you did. Superb paint job there.

Yeah I'll have a look on the weekend and go in with some highlights. Thanks for the advice ;)

No, you're right. That's the new art that was created to celebrate the 30th Anniversary.

Yup, found the image in question.

Alvin (Street Fighter) Lee did all that new style guide art that i used on these DVD's to tshirts.

I am just not sure its a suitable style of art for MOTU let alone the Filmation DVD.

Nathan Baertch did the inside stuff (and front castle) and that's far more in line with Filmation I think.

He's 30th anniversery He-man.
That set is the 30th anniversery set.
It has EVERYTHING he-man cartoon from the past 30 years inside it.

How is that not appropriate?

as for the style of art specificly, I guess that's mostly up to personal preference, more or less.

Meh. 200x and NA are mere footnotes after the iconic Filmation cartoon. If you're going to pick one art style to represent all three series', you go Filmation or go home.

Filmation is a footnote after the figures and castle I played with as a kid.

Anyone read TG's Castle Grayskull answers? Yeah, the only thing they might change is the way the drawbridge lowers, but I doubt it. Pretty much what we're seeing is what we're getting.

Well, I'll still wait to see what SDCC has to show, but this is pretty much the final nail in MOTUC interest coffin. I really regret subbing for Filmation now. I'll probably sell everything but the core '83-'85 set and just keep those.

Too many stupid decisions have ruined this line. Having a playset that the figures can't fit in appropriately and a giant hole in the middle of the floor to 'park' the Windraider in the castle...
