Everyone has their right to think what they like. But that's not usually the issue. It's usually more that people not only want to express what they think, they want everyone to agree with them and will make the same points over and over in an effort to make others believe what they do. Well, that seems to be their motivation! Unless they simply are very bored and have the time to endlessly debate the same thing over and over.

We're long past the point of any new, intelligent things being said about this issue.

No we are not. Many things have been said but not many have been what I would call intelligent. There plenty more intelligent things to say about this whole issue.

Are you seriously suggesting that I have nothing better to do than to flex my opinion muscle for the sake of it?

I will also chime in that the "nothing better to do" retort is akin to Godwin's law. It's often a cheap meaningless way to try to win an argument or to deride someone else.

So the concept of being sold one size and actually getting another is too complex for you to comment on? There is no right or wrong there in your eyes?

I am not putting it down. I am saying it's smaller than we were originally sold on.
Folks who would call me a whiner for stating this obvious fact can just naff off as such a position is BS.
If they are not bothered, good on em but to suggest we are being whiney or unfair is insulting.

nah im just saying its bigger then the 200x castle , so the size isnt the issue for me. back seriously if i was like oh the size plus it doesnt come with a figure puts me off from subing it, would be just bs from me seeing that i have no intention of buying it , much like cherry pickers who dont sub for the normal line but then want every pop figure , or every background char from the cartoon series.

Eamon is right

Grayskull is too small for the scale of the figures

The Sculpt is Fantastic! it's the scale that is the problem. If they at least lower the door somehow, that would help ALOT.

I am still buying it (for now),but then again,I guess I should feel grateful that I am handing Mattel $500 + shipping for 2 Castle Graskull's :lol :cuckoo:

The potential shipping cost is scary. I'm morbidly curious to see what that ends up being. Hell I could be surprised and it's only like $20.

Except I wasn't trying to deride anyone else, specifically! :D Certainly not Eamon or yourself.

:dunno I was simply expressing my own frustration with the nature of the conversation, and was including myself in the group of people who posts again and again. And I'm sorry if you think conversation is about the same people droning on about the same topics endlessly, barely acknowledging other people's points. I must go to different parties. ;)

It wasn't an attack on anyone, as should be clear if anyone was bothering to read what I wrote without instantly going on the defensive. If it was not clear, then I apologize and will more carefully word my responses. My point was that Eamon (quite rightly) said people should not call him or anyone a whiner for pointing out things he doesn't like on the Castle. I agree! Just as I think people shouldn't be called "aplogists" or easily pleased or whatever if they like the Castle. Both sides get equally (and ridiculously, in my own view) entrenched. My point was that most people are not really listening to each other's points, instead just hammering home the same things over and over. Everyone is so quick to offend and go off it just gets boring, to me. Which I think has just been beautifully exemplified. It was an address of the overall nature of where the conversation is online at the moment regarding this particular topic.

Saying you're not trying to deride anyone while saying things like "same people droning on about the same topics endlessly" isn't the same thing as trying not to deride anyone.

You keep saying you're not trying to offend anyone while then going on to be very critical of anything anyone else has said.

:slap

I said I wasn't deriding anyone specifically. Also, do I have to point out again that I was including myself in this group of people who go on and on about things? :gah:

Anyway, in the interest of getting this back on topic and sensing a reading comprehension gap that even my most clear-cut attempts to traverse cannot bridge, that is the last I'll post about this particular topic except to say:

If anyone felt personally attacked by my original comment, I am sorry. I apologize. It was meant to express my own, personal frustration with the nature of discourse on this particular topic and that is all. :peace

Yeah that's looks great there actually. Nice work.
I feel I need to add bit of black to mine now. :D

What did you use for the crown piece there?

Cheers mate and Kuzeh :)
I actually had an 'incident' with it last week while touching up one side, I was holding a pot of brown paint in the other hand and was concentrating that hard I didn't realise I was pouring this pot of paint over the top and down the skull :gah::lol
Had to basically repaint the entire right side again!
In repainting it, I tried to take your advice Eamon and make it a bit lighter. I actually think its probably a bit better than it was before (luckily) lol
The top bit was a plastic ball which I just built up with bits of milliput.

Well i just modeled mine after Zombihamma's colours as best as I could but I think he used a bit more green in his.

The great think about the dry brush method is that you can build up and look and build up and look again to see if you are going to bright or too dark.

I would go in with some more lighter tones just a little bit around the towers. But either way, it still looks great to me. :)

I'm looking forward to that one too! I am intrigued to see what questions were asked and what they say! Hopefully we get some good info. It'd be nice to understand their reasoning for the size reduction if nothing else. But I guess since it was with the 4H (right?) and not Mattel they might not know.

Scott is suppose to be there too with the 4H

Looks like SEAHAWK is the next Filmation character

just like I said ;)

also he will NOT be sold day of sales.....Sub ONLY!

Lots of confusion on this one. It looks like one of the swords that Seahawk has been shown with, though.

But he seems to have this sword more often:

Which, to be honest, I prefer. Maybe he'll come with both?
