Bad Ass!! :rock

Optimus prime + he-mans power sword = ?
The most unstoppable force in the universe...

= galactic domination on an unimaginable scale.
...this works too! :D :rock

I think the production He-Ro looks better than the Proto, looks less like a Playskool toy and more like a MOTU toy.

it's nice to have a history behind the power sword. now we need a prince adam figure and soon.
Yes, but please no pink shirt! :monkey4:D

I watched He-Man as a kid and enjoyed it, but Thundercats pwned He-Man, as did Lion-O.
Let's not go there son. :nono

here's a question. which prince adam would you want, IF you had to pick 1 design.

and remember, the origianl toy looked like this

so, which version?

this

this

Personaly, i've come to really like the Look of the 2002 design for prince adam, he looks more like the youth he's intended to be, rather than He-man with clothes on :)

Annd i don't know which is scarey, optimus prime with the power sword, or this

I'm old school, got to go with the original and only one I had as a kid.

True, does just look like He-Man in drag, but the more modern version is just that, too modern, almost anime/manga ish.

this is just personal preference here. but I'm kinda hoping that when they do adam, no matter WHICH design they use, lets say, for example they use the original toy design. that they use a Less muscular body for Adam. am i the only one who feel like this?

Less muscular for Adam would be cool.. but the key word in this line is reuse. I think we will see an Adam that looks a lot like He-Man.

they could STILL do a re-use and make an adam. simply using the regular DCUC base body( superman, flash, etc), or the smaller Teen dcuc body (Robin) and have a muscular body that is slimmer, and would work for Adam, i would think.

They probably could, however since the original Adam was nothing more
but a He-Man repaint with clothes then you can logically conclude Mattel
will do the same with this Adam. In actuality I like both versions of Adam
and he is one of my most anticipated figures, I do however wonder how
they plan on doing his vest, personally I prefer a sculpted plastic vest
as oppose to cloth. Whenever one sees a loose vintage Adam, he is typically
missing either his whole vest or his belt.

thought that's the reason why I doubt they would do it. They stated they wanted this new skeletor release to be for people who missed out, not intended for a replacement for people who already have one. no, I think they'd likely do keldor as a standalone.

Maybe. I do think a lot of people would prefer a Keldor standalone figure (MOCers, for example), but I wouldn't put it past them. From a business standpoint, why not change it significantly enough so that you have both people who missed out on the first one AND people who bought the first one buying it? Mattel's looking to make a profit, after all.

Who knows what they'll end up doing. I kind of hope Keldor's a standalone figure down the road, but I'd pay for another Skeletor if it offered up something new, as would many others. I think I like my laughing extra head idea... he seemed to laugh a lot in the old cartoon, iirc.

Yeah, I would kind of like that as well.

I don't know about using a DC body though - not sure how I feel about mixing the lines...

Bump for my new sig. I choose these because the early mini-comics and box art are the essence of MOTU to me, more so than the original cartoon. I'm "toys-first" with MOTU, then early mini-comics, boxart, original toon, and then far, far down the line, the 200X series comics and toon.

Oh, and I'm really proud of this thread. It's come a long way! :rock

Great sig Amanaman! I still remember seeing the first He-Man toys on the shelf. The artwork for the Battle Ram and Battle Cat just blew me away. I only ever owned a few toys (He-Man, Beast Man, Stratos, Battle Cat, Battle Ram and that's it) but the original art and comics were very engrossing.
