I really don't know what Mattel/Toy Guru are thinking with baby Skeletor. Who wanted this? Nooooooo one. Instead of putting money and resources into other figures, vehicles or beasts, they make this. Just when you think Mattel can't get any worse, they prove you wrong.

As someone who buys some of those "weird vinyl toys" I don't see how it's similar.

No this way he can hold up his head with the executive types over at Mattel like he's too cool for school by trolling the teeny tiny insignificant MOTUC customers. I'll warrant it's gotten him a few backslaps and a hardy-har.

I imagine Calix isn't being made because they don't know how to go about making him in a way that will be cheap enough… though if teemu is right they're making Dylamug which would be 100% new tooling and no chance of re-use I can see. So who knows.

Worst case scenario I think a DC Deluxe Darkseid could be made into a pretty decent Calix fairly easily.

I don't think Calix would be too hard to do. An over-sized armor piece (we know they can do that! ) would be the bulk of it. He could use a lot of the standard body. They could just bulk up the gauntlet and boot area with some add-on pieces glued into place or make unique lower arm/lower leg pieces, I suppose.

As for Skelly-Baby... Well, that's $35 plus shipping I'll be saving, that's for sure.

Baby Skeletor is a joke. As long as it is not included in the sub, I dont care. This and the mini figures of BA he-Man and Merman are the first passes for me since the start of mattycollector.com. Guess every ride has its end. It was a great run though.
