Well the PowerCon exclusives are being sold by the case load on eBay now and you can get all three of the exclusives very easily now.

Weren't we told these were selling out and or only available from BBST after? The story on these kept changing so perhaps I got things wrong. Either way, folks can now get em.

Its getting rediculous.

So I broke down and bought the Filmation 2.0 Skeletor on eBay this week, and it arrived today with a 'grit of paint' stuck to his lower jaw. I'm perhaps more annoyed than I should be - but any ideas on how to remove it safely? :gah:

Well that's probably the yellow paint chipped away rather than paint on it so you'll need to paint it. Mine has a spot too.

Wow that is an awesome print. I wonder if there is a way for people or who didn't make it to power con to get one. The muscles are neat too. Brings back memories of my very early childhood.

Dave Wilkins who painted that print should have them at his booth at San Diego.

@Eamon

What are those donut shaped metal things and where do you get them?

Oh they are just steel drink coasters dude. Not sure where I got em though, sorry.

My He Man 2.0 came with a red paint mark on the grey armour so this was on top of the plastic, what's the best way to remove that?

Got Skeletor 2.0 the other day. Box has a crack at the top. The master himself has some scratches on his left leg and the sword is painted terribly. This makes 3 out of 3 figures for the Filmation sub that do not match my expectations (He-Man had a damaged box, Trap Jaws weapons were lying lose in the box, Skeletor has box and painting issues). I really really wanted to keep the Filantion figures MIB and display them in a row in the back of my display. At the moment I am thinking about simply selling them. Very sad that the quality check has failed 3 times now. At this point I am so disappointed that I really wouldnt mind the line being done in 2017, this way I could at least concentrate on customs and fixing my originals.

I actually meant that yellow 'blob' of excess paint on the left side of his lower jaw (right side of picture). Though after I try and 'pinch' it off with de-spruing tweezers, I might need to touch it up with a bit of paint like you suggested. Anyone have a good paint match for "Skeletor Yellow"? :lol

Thanks, Eamon.

I only have a few of this line (He-Man, the big Tiger he rides and the gorilla guy) but really like it. I didn't have any MOTU as a kid and don't know the characters that well, just really liked the look of these. The big dragon figure looks cool too.

I forgot about Crita and Despara. We also have General Sunder. What's left after that? beside the Filmation of course.

Desparra
Crita
Nightstalker
General Sunder
Tuskador
Horde Wraith

Beast Man
Evil Seed
Evil Lyn
Clawful

And Roton and Horde Trooper should be coming out of sub at some point.

Totally forgot about Tukador and Wraith (probably need more than one of those). So we have three more monthly figures left and that takes us to december which I am assuming along with the vehicles, that is it for Classics and I'd be cool with that.

I hope they carry on with the Filmation line and give us some good guys as He-Man is all on his own right now. Man-At-Arm, Stratos and Teela would be good. We also need Tri Klops and Merman. If they keep releasing them every two months, that would take us all through 2018.

Well it doesn't look good...No Matty panel, NOTHING for MOTU

I think it's a mistake not at least continuing the Filmation line for MOTU.There is much more to make there and they sell!

Nothing Thundercats either...Why did I even bother subbing only to have an incomplete Thundercats collection on my shelf?

oh well, money can go elsewhere.Mattel doesn't want it

Its kind of sad how they let it end. A line like this should have deserved a better ending. I kind of hope that we might see a figure comming from time to time (Con excl for example)...
Hopefully we will at least still get Night Stalker, Roton etc.

I agree about the muted ending. This has been such a great line, all things considered, and it's sad for it to end like this. Snake Mountain would have been an awesome send off. I'd like con exclusives in the future but I'm not too hopeful at this point.

That is another very ominous sign about the future of Matty Collector. My hope is that maybe they still don't have someone in place as brand manager and didn't plan a panel because of that. I know that's wishful thinking though. The worst thing about this is Thundercats not getting completed, followed by no more Filmation figures, then not getting Stridor and another partial year of Collector's Choice when it seemed that all of the subs have been selling well. The silver lining may be a Matty blowout sale before the end of the year. I know I could use more carded figure cases and some extra figures here and there.

We don't know that we will not have a full Thundercats set though do we?

And we have not be told we are not getting Snake Mountain yet. Is it far fetch to think that we will see a final production SM at SDCC?!
As if not then that would be the first time since 2001 (first 4HM HM statue) that MOTU has no SDCC presence.

We don't know anything for certain. It's just another sign that there appears to be nothing happening for the Matty brands right now. They could be working hard behind the scenes on 2017 but at this point we have nothing solid to go on. Val did post over at the .Org that "I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet" and "I always have insider info, I just don't post it because confidentiality is important, as is maintaining relationships", so there is that glimmer of hope. I'm sure he has a good relationship with the Four Horsemen and may know what they have been working on, but I don't know what his inside connection would be at Mattel if he has one. We can always hope for the best despite the lack of information I guess.
