he-ro is definately lacking the airbrush shading on the muscles. it would be a shame if they stop it cuz i think it looks great. especially on the colored figures.

Agreed! I'm going to be pretty annoyed as well. With the exception of Beastmasn who only has a subtle wash on his hands, feet and beard, the air-brushed effect is an established feature in this line. Hopefully it's not a missing aspect of all the figures to come as it was really one of my favorite parts when I got He-Man and has continued to be one with each release thereafter.

my grayskull has it. it looks great on figures like merman though. not just the body but on the guantlets and boots too. Faker is another figure that would look rather plain without the shading. please say it isn't so Matty.:monkey2

I've got no problem with them dropping the airbrushing on them. Looking at my Man at arms figure, it seems he's not got the airbrushing either.

HOWEVER the airbrushing was part of what made the figures so costly, So If Matty is going to stop doing that, then I'd expect a 5$ Decrease per figure in Price, as then they're no more complicated then the DCUC, or Marvel Legends figures, who are about 15$ and DO NOT HAVE AIRBRUSHING Either.

in other words, If you're going to drop the Airbrushing, then Lower the price. If the price STAYS the same, then the Quality should as well. I agreed to pay for that quality when I signed up for the subscription service. If theat quality is not there, Well... seems to me that they're not living up to their end of the bargain.

That Said, Im sure it's simply an oversight, or the airbrushing on these two figures is very very subtle.

My MAAs have the airbrushing, it's black or a very dark green. I'm thinking He-Ro might not have the airbrushing as a means of cutting costs. His head, lower arms, lower legs, feet, armor, loincloth were all brand new parts not to mention he's got the staff with (essentially) three different colored gems, each one would have upped the cost a little. So all those things may have raised him up a little too much and Mattel had to cut back wherever they could.

Just want to give a public "thanks" to Deak Starkiller and Mesa for hooking me up with their extra figures. :rock
I will do my best to pay it forward if there are cool exclusives at NYCC next year....
Still looking for Hordak and Beast Man for (somewhat) reasonable prices if anyone has spares.

I would try and get Hordak ASAP. With He-Man and Skeletor coming back out more folks will be jumping aboard this line and especially with Adora being released in Jan. Hordy is likely to be one of the most sought after figures.

True that. I'm on it....

playafree I believe has a beastman man on the FS thread.

Just don't pay too much for him because Mattel has stated that all previously sold out figures will get re-releases (not just He-Man and Skeletor), possibly as early as next year.

Yeah, I'm not going to go crazy but Hordak is a priority for me. Even when I had given up on the line I felt a disturbance in the force the day he went up for sale.

Got the Merman sitting by the front door ready to ship.

UPS was the cheaper than either parcel or priority from USPS.

So you should get it 3-4 days from tomorrow, so probably around next Tuesday.

No problem Tom, glad I could hook up a real fan. Besides I owed you one for the gracious Faker hook up! :rock

the faker looks good. Unfortunately i sold off most of my motu a couple of years back including the comic cons's moss + faker + skeleton. Oh well.

REALLY?
I THINK THAT WILL PISS A LOT OF PEOPLE OFF. I guess they kinda need to rerelease heman and skeletor for sure in some form though...

I don't think it'll piss off collectors, but it will piss off prospectors. For my part, I haven't gotten into this marvelous line partially because of the unavailability of key figures. No way will I ever pay scalper prices. Having said that, the scalpers will be excited to get a second bite at the apple.

the re-releases were the ONLY reason i got into the line having missed the first go-round.

will an anger people? yes.

But in the long run, it will bring in more new customers than loosing old ones.
