I'm fighting the completest bug on this line... I passed on Beastman (never a real favorite) but the rest of the line is looking great. I think out of the announcements the only ones I'm iffy on are Zodak and Stratos.

Just dive in if you're having doubts, no sense in regretting it
down the line, its a superb line and it clearly has alot of potential, I'll
even get the ones that I'm iffy on but since I'm a huge MOTU fan I have
no doubts about collecting them all.

According to the Mattel Panel at NYCC (as posted by an attendee on he-man.org):
the line is selling AMAZINGLY, and they are probably going to do 2 figures/month at times... AS LONG AS we keep the figures selling... that means not griping about Scalpers, I would imagine... their buying in bulk keeps the line alive. They said they need 5 months worth of sell-outs to go gang-busters to corporate and say, "Look how well these are selling! let's do 2 figures for next month"

So if you want Mattel to bump up the release of figures from 1 per month to 2 per month then everyone needs to pick up a Stratos! Buy two! Army build Winged Warriors! :D I think he's the possible "weak link" of the first five months, if he sells then I think the "five consecutive sellouts" will be a shoe-in.

2 per month would definitely help with making sure that either all or
most characters from the property are made. If they needed 5 months of
sell outs then they should have brought out the big guns and save the
weaker links for later, but I'm sure Stratos will sell.

I am buying 2 stratos....I disagree about him being a weak link...I dont see any weak links in this line yet

Yeah when they start making Rio-Blast, Rotar, and Twistoid then we are in trouble. This line is the best thing going, I think I need to post some side-by-side comparisons from the OG line.

Actually I see more fans buying characters like Rio Blast, Snout Spout etc
because these characters were the last to come out in the original line and
now have a very strong following. As far as Rotar and Twistoid go, I'm sure
the 4 horsemen would do a good job reinterpreting them.

I don't see Stratos as a weak link. I know I'm getting him, as I'm sure most posting in this thread and some of the folks at He-Man.org will. Now if Clamp Champ or Rio Blast are released, I think we'll have to worry.

I'd love to see 2 per month happen. We've already seen 3 successful releases and I'm sure Stratos will sell well and Faker is sure to sell out. I don't see the line slowing down any time soon.

Wow!

Passed on Beast Man. :monkey2

He was always my favorite. :D

One a month is fine with me.

With all the other lines I collect, it's nice knowing that I only need $20 a month to keep up with this line.

No need to flood the "market."

The 4 horseman are sculpting these figures....I am not sure if there will be any weak figures regardless of character...I never had a snout spout from the originals...but I'll gladly get him this time round

Oh I have no doubt in the 4H's ability, I would just rather have so many other characters first. All in good time.

thought this was kinda funny....I know I never thought of anything "gay" when I watched the He-Man Cartoons as a kid, but I guess inuendo could of been there lol

He-Man and the MOTU was the gayest cartoon ever

No really. Prince Adam turned into a muscle-bound but hairless stud(wearing pink), but he had to keep this "secret" from his father who must never know his "secret." He owned a cat. His best friend was a guy with a Freddy Mercury stash who was the adopted father of Teela, but he had no wife and never was seen with any girls (gay adoption). Teela's real mom was the Sorceress, but they never mention who her father is and the Sorceress is never shown to be romantic with any men (artificial insemination like Jodie Foster perhaps). And He-Man's arch-foe was a hi-pitched voice skeleton, and where do you find skeletons? In the closet perhaps.
Not to mention you have guys with names like Ram-Man and Trapjaw. LOL

Hmmm...only that Teela Na's (the Sorceress' real name for those not knowing) husband sacrificed himself in the Great War. People try to find gay, satan, emo, etc... in anything. Just like the preachers that used to say Transformers preached evolution...ya, there's a stretch.

Also, someone either had a bad copy of SotS or they modified it to sound like F^^^. When he really says "there's no need to fight, let's just get out of here."

For me it's $28 with shipping for one figure:horror. One more reason for wanting 2 figures per month would be so that we can save a little on shipping. The second figure shipping only adds a few cents to the total :D

Good point. I'm so used to paying $8 or so for shipping that I haven't really thought about the fact that it's almost half the price of the figure.

Oh yeah I forgot how people are so against shipping cost.

Once the subscription service starts you'll be able to "hold" figures and mail them all at once if you want.
