Mattel has even said that the production Hordak will have a bright silver belt to match the vintage version. Man-At-Arms even comes with a sword and gun from the original Grayskull weapons rack. They attach to his backpack. Mattel's attention to detail and nods to the vintage line is staggering!

I was cleaning out the basement and found most of my old MOTU stuff. Here's a pic. I didn't take the time to find all of the gear that isn't shown on them.

Awesome pic. Looking at this shot, between me and my buddy that lived across the street, we had about everyone one here, plus Castle Greyskull and Snake Mountain. There were some epic battles that were decided upon in the mid '80's back in the house I grew up in.

i have no idea where my Castle GreySkull or Snake Mountain or the rest of my He-man figs are...probably sold at a yardsale while I was in college. :monkey2

you know, i wish they would have changed tri-klops' sword. if i remember correctly he had a sword with a regular silver blade on the vintage card back art. not that green plasticy looking thing. i was hoping they would have changed it for this release.

That's what happened to mine. I think I actually witnessed it, and pocketed the $20 or $30 and bought a few GI Joe figures... :monkey2:monkey4:monkey2:monkey4

One of my favorite Christmas memories was when my family traveled to spend it with my Grandmother and Grandfather in Texas. We spent most of the holidays at home, so that year was special for many reasons.

I was grandmother's favorite and when I woke up on X-mas morning, there was Snake mountain, a healthy amount of figures and some vehicles too! I was even wearing MOTU pjs. I was on cloud 9 that day. With grandmother being gone now, I will always look back fondly on that day, not just for the toys, but for being able to spend it with her and at her house.

That's great!:banana I didn't even notice the weapons. Mattel is definitely climbing on my list of favorites.

Funny thing is none of my stuff was ever sold at yard sales... but I played with my toys and the end product isn't worth much either :lol

I went to my folks house last November and in my former room I still had Castle Grayskull, and a lot of about 10 figures...
I couldn't bring all of them with me...
Maybe next time!!

Here's a few shots of my 200x collection though!

yeh i would like a re-release as well. it would be awesome too for all the ebay scalpers out there. i really hope that that when they re-release them then they dont change a thing just the packaging.

I'm not a MOC guy, so the packaging (while i'd hope it stays the same) doesn't affect me. Just as long as the figures are the same, no repaints... etc.

I think the word from the panel was that they would change packaging and possibly accessories to keep the original release unique, but without having to offer a wacky repaint. I wasn't there but I skimmed a lot of reports.
My main reason for going to NYCC was to reaquire HM and BM. The scalping prices are crazy but in the long run that demand is very good for all of us. Especially if the re-release is a package-only variant. The level of consideration that the Matty team is giving to the fans should be the example for everyone taking on retro licenses.

yeah i snuck them in there. poor storm shadow is discolored and missing a thumb.

i never knew that but I see the difference between the two on ebay.

I've got 6 Storm Shadows that I practically like new and two of them MOC but I'm lookn for a Peach File Card one MOC, it's gonna cost me some serious $$$, I don't think this is the year for my hunt though :monkey2

The more I see of these guys, the more I want them. But. . .must. . .resist. Must keep money. . .to pay for. . .electricity. . .

Hordak would look really pimp along side a candle! :joy

Had a near complete mint condition collection as well and sold them at a yard sale right before going to college for $50 in one of my fathers army camp bags :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2
