No one who is considering banning books should ever be allowed to be in any position of leadership as long as we're pretending the the USA is a free country.

So having religion is what you care about in a vice presidential candidate? I am not a religious man, but I can even look past people's personal choices and not use that as an excuse to not support them. As for Obama, did you miss my point? I said that everything in that video can be said for Obama, so using it as an attack against Palin is sort of nullified by that. He is a man with no experience, and the thought of him "staring down Putin" does not bide well with me.

As for the Book banning allegations, she did not remove any. Did she want to? Who knows. Just because the news media wants you to believe it doesn't make it true. I am not blindly defending her, but with a claim like that they need real proof, not just heresay from people that may not like her.

How can one's religious stance not have any effect on their moral decisions or not have an effect in such important decisions as appointing justices to the Supreme Court? We are discussing the Matt Damon interview and you keep throwing Obama into this. Yes, I get your point, do you get mine?

Why should Barack Obama be president, because he is black? If Obama is a Christian like he says he is, doesn't he have the same beliefs as Palin? They are both light on experience. Thats a neat report. It says she left the church and then shows RECENT sermon.
There's a book list that has been proven false, since many of the books hadn't even been published yet.
Despite the fact there is no evidence of her endorsing specifics of her faith, what does it matter anyway? Every other president has believed the Red Sea was parted and the the son of God was resurrected. Every religion seems silly to those not in it, but that doesn't mean that disqualifies them from a job.
As the mayor of a small town she has already done more than Matt Damon has. Apparently she has enough on the ball to be governor of a state, and not just any state. The governor of Alaska has more power than most of the other governors in the country.
I'm sure Damon would have described Teddy Roosevelt as 'folksy' too.
Also religious convictions are what shaped this country. Every one of the founding fathers had written documents citing Jesus Christ. Every president has had religious convictions. Most every leader of any country has religious convictions, but they can still do their job. That statement that they should be disqualified because of faith is unconstitutional and as insulting as the idea that if Obama were Muslim he shouldn't be allowed to be president. I don't care if a person is Christian, Atheist, Muslim, Jewish or druid. I care about their values and if they are a decent person.

Especially since Obama is on record saying he is going to slash Billions of dollars in defense spending. I can see it now. Russia continues to flex its military muscle, President Obama starts dismantling our nuclear capabilities.
