I never see any of these in my area... but that's a good thing as I don't need another line to collect :lol

So I walk into my local Target today and I was extremely surprised to find wave 6. Not the whole wave of course but it was there nonetheless. They had two Hawkmen, two Mr. Miracle and 3 Supermen (2 red and blue and 1 black). I picked up the red and blue.

The Hawkman looks so, so nice that I was tempted to buy both but I couldn't justify it though. Not the time to be doing that.

Now I need Killer Moth and Shazam.

Yeah, I picked up all of Wave 6 last week, very nice figures!

Hawkman is all kinds of awesomeness!

Fixed :D

Also, what part of they country are you finding these?

sweet! it's good to see there is someone else mesmerized by killer moth. hawkman is one of the best figures of the entire line imo...along with grundy and deathstroke.

When I posted my first review with Captain Marvel in it, it only took about 20 minutes before I got an email from someone telling me I had lots of 'errors' in my review because I kept refering to Shazam as 'Captain Marvel'. Ah, these crazy kids these days. :D

I always knew him as Shazam. I know his correct name is Captain Marvel but I prefer Shazam.

I just found wave 6 today at Wally World.

I was surprised to see 3 red and blue Supes on the pegs but no black suit Supes. I thought the black suit was the standard version.

Overall I'm really happy with this wave. For the record, it's the first wave I've seen in a store since wave 2 last year. :monkey1

I love the Super Powers inspired shackles for Mister Miracle. That was so cool for the 4H to convince Mattel to include them. :rock

Both times I have come across fresh cases put out there have been two Red/Blue Supes and one Black suit on the shelves.

Technically yes, but the Black Superman is the actual variant as there are less of them being made.

To be fair, the the packaging does list him as Shazam. Isn't there a copyright issue with "captain marvel" or something?

Didn't mean to be a nerd, but Captain Marvel is one of my faves:

Shazam is the Wizard:

He is and always will be Captain Marvel. This character's name has never been Shazam. Since that's the word he uses to change, it'd be kind of difficult to introduce himself, don't you think? :D

As I mentioned in the review, this is the perfect case of lawsuit gone bad. DC sued Fawcett over Captain Marvel back in the golden age, saying he was a rip off of Superman. The courts agreed, and Fawcett was forced to stop publishing him. During the course of the 60's, Marvel figured they ought to have a character named Captain Marvel, since it was the name of their publishing company after all, and Kirby created one. He was nothing like Supes or the Fawcett Marvel though, so no issue.

In the early 70's, DC bought out Fawcett and ended up with the Captain Marvel character themselves, but because of Marvel taking over the name while the Fawcett/DC version was on haitus, they couldn't market him under that name. They could - and did - continue to call him Captain Marvel in the comics, but the title of the book had to be Shazam, hence the confusion.

Now, in the last couple years, there's been this whole weird story line with Captain Marvel jr becomes the new big cheese, and starts going by the actual name of Shazam, but he looks nothing like this gold age version.

Anyone collects those small Infinite Heroes figures? A few days ago I picked up the Batman single and the 3 pack with Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Black Canary. I saw all of the singles and 3 packs that day, it looked like they just stocked it. Funny thing all of it was by the hot wheels section, probably reason why there was like 2 of each singles. BTW, what stores carry JLU? I don't see them around anymore. I really want the 3 pack with Batman Beyond (Terry), Old Bruce and Warhawk.

I got the Infinite Heroes Professor Zoom and the Flash 3 pack. Opened Zoom, and promptly returned the others. Those toys really suck, in my opinion. They would have been OK in the early 80s, but with that level of articulation and that quality of sculpt in this day and age?

I got the DCUC Hawkman yesterday, and I love him. That is what a toy is supposed to be! Now I need to track down some of the other members of the League.
