Got my notice from CSC yesterday that my GLC series 2 has shipped

Congrats Munch! I've been laying low with the Classics myself while I catch up on some other stuff that's been shipping lately but hope to get back in the game soon. My bro Kuzeh did hook me up with these two today though

Aquaman and Hawkman looks cool, IC.

I prefer that new 2 pack Aquaman to the original wave 2 one. The shiny scale shirt looks much better than the dull series 2 one. Hawkman is just the same though sans some accessories.

So i have finished reading Crisis on Infinite Earths, Zero Hour: Crisis in time & Identity Crisis( Which by the way was ____ing amazing!) if i had a desire for this toys back then now its even greater! Im going crazy over here!! soon the bubble will burst and i will own all waves! lol

Congrats. Nostalgia for the Super Powers line is what keeps me somewhat interested in this line, and those two figures were staples of my collection as a kid. If only Hawkman's damn wings could have stayed on better. I think one is still under the deck at my old house.

Also, I think Hawkman is the best figure in this entire line so far.

One of the things I love about this line is that, in my opinion, they have mostly Hits than Misses in the lineup. I look at my lineup and there are very figures I would say that mattel needs to re-do. That's why it's so hard for me to say which figures are my favorite; Most of them are!
My least favorite characters, not in any particular order:
PowerGirl - Face too generic
Shark - really that face on that body. Needed a better transition.
Supergirl - Again, the face too generic.
Mongul - Size DOES matter!
TwoFace - he just looks sooo dorky!
Kid Flash - way too short.
Manhunters - These should be called Mini-Manhunters!

I think that's it for my dislikes. i am pretty much happy with the rest of the line up.

Thats what i thought especially after seeing the Huge Blackest Night one, great size ok sculpt.

The Manhunters are perfect size. They should be human sized. They are only really big in the JLU cartoon.

Just got my GL classics line 2 and I have to say, I am disappointed!!


Disappointed that it's ending!
Stel is BIG! Almost as big as Chemo or Giganta less a 1/4 of an inch.

The Mini Lanterns are actually articulated, so that's a step up the DC Direct version.

I don't want to force the chest articulation on Star Sapphire. Can't tell how it's supposed to move. Bummer! They should have stuck to the old type. The new one offers less articulation with no improvement on the sculpt and form.

The blue headed red lantern IS missing the symbol on his chest. Really cool figure, though.

I really hope they will eventually do other lantern figures.

I don't think I'm going to be doing the retail purchases of this line anymore even though I like to have them in hand to inspect the paint for imperfections. $17.99 at Toys R Us is too much for me.

It was only scheduled for 2 waves. The 3rd wave got cancelled before wave 1 orders even got filled.

It was supposed to be an "all-star" type of wave. So we probably would have finally gotten a fixed Sinestro Corp Sinestro in it

Have we had any confirmation that the All-Star wave was cancelled? I thought they said even though it had re-releases it would have a CnC as well... now that I'm thinking, they said at Toy Fair the Parallax CnC was done by the 4HM but not the movie masters. Wonder if the first parts of Parallax would've been in this 3rd wave and the others in the movie masters...

It was confirmed. GL Classics are only slated for 2 waves. The third wave was suppose to start hitting around the time that the movie masters GL stuff hit but retailer orders were too low so it got cancelled.

That's stupid on the retailer's part. I'm sure they would've sold out on these. I can't find any of these anywhere.
