Plugged in the New Krypton head onto a DCUC Superman. Loads better. Just had to tighten the neck joint so it doesn't wobble.
That's stupid on the retailer's part. I'm sure they would've sold out on these. I can't find any of these anywhere.
Samueljd - The head is from the DC direct New krypton series, Commander Kal-el figure.
Well, not really. Can you imagine the glut of GL stuff that will be on the shelves by May/June????? I'm sure they felt they had ordered quite enough GL stuff. And with these being at the new "screw you, bend over!" price, they probably assumed they would rot the shelves cause Moms would certainly select the cheaper options.
I wouldn't be surprised if the IM2 glut of merchandise still rotting on the shelves influenced their decision too!
The problem is retailers ALWAYS order too much of the first waves of movie figures and never enough of the following waves. So the first wave consists primarily of the hero and his numerous variants. Maybe with one other character or two thrown in. Usually zero spoiler type figures. And then the second and third and etc waves feature more of the figures collectors are really looking for. But the glut of the first wave never moves enough for the other waves to hit wide. So usually the last waves are either very hard to find or cancelled and usually command large sums on ebay.
My fear is the MM Parallax will never be finished without paying out the rear.

QTF!
I managed to snag the last figure I needed in the wave 2 of Green Lantern DCUC series. It took me twice as long to get these done, since I kept misspelling the names - when I could remember them! Hey, at least you get a cat in a Red Lantern suit...

It's not an ab crunch like the male body, but more of a cut joint that's rounded to allow the upper torso to slide at an angle around on the lower torso. It's kinda ugly, and doesn't really do a whole lot...
Maybe you guys can help out. This isn't exactly a DCUC question, but it is for a similarly-scaled figure. What's the best way to pull a head off of a 6-inch plastic action figure without breaking anything?
I'm doing a custom articulated Jack Bauer using a McFarlane Bauer head and a NECA Sam Fisher body, and want to do a headswap. I figure brute force is probably the wrong way to go ... so what's the right way?
