I don't see it at TRU anymore (it was a TRU exclusive) so yeah, I'd say it is hard to find now. The Clayface and Brainiac packs replaced those earlier packs.

I'm furious that Mattel has shorted this wave. Anyone think almost $60 including shipping is too much to pay for Canary and Arrow? I don't want to miss out and I am not sanguine that Matty is going to redeem themselves and produce more of Wave 9 or give us these two as World's Greatest anytime soon.
Not sure this is accurate. Thomas, Anna and Rich from CSC have confirmed that this was an inside problem. This had nothing to do with the Heartland hack attack. This was caused, by their own admission, a back door payment portal that was left unsecured by them and their webmaster when they redesigned the site and merged CornerStoreComics with Amazing Toyz. I've met Thomas and my brother and I are really cool with Richard and I want to see them do well and regain their reputation. But post this problem, there were several folks on Fwoosh and Raving Toy Maniac that posted that their CC got hit yet again. Now I'm not saying they haven't cleaned things up. I'm just saying I would need to see more post like yours confirming no problems before I recommend someone paying with their CC.
There was a set in a rural TRU that I called two weeks ago. So some are still around. I would try calling around. It may be a bit of a drive to get it, but it may still be hanging around.
I don't think that is too much to pay...around $15 bucks per fig is fair. This week TRU just went up to $12.99 and Target went to $12.69 or something like that. If you factor in what you would pay for gas searching for these, that's a good price.
And GA will be re-issued as an All-Star fig most likely since he comes with the stand. Who knows when though.
Yeah, I do remember the back door problem, but since it could only be accessed through one of their computuers, I assumed it was related to the Heartland thing. I didn't know it was an inside job.

i picked this one up a while ago it was with the batgirl and azrael 2 pack i see clay face and batman 2 packs around if i see the greenlantern one ill let you know

Thanks for the help everyone! I assumed no one close to me would have any so I went to the furthest from me, but still local, TRU here, lucked out and found a few of the Lantern 2 packs there so I grabed one!
Yeah, who knows who the original hackers were but they broke in like someone breaking into your house or car cause you left the door open. Wasn't much of a hack, just someone who knew how to check to see if the door was open. In CSC's case, they checked and it was free game.

Just bought Green Arrow off eBay. Don't want to take a chance of not finding him at the stores and his price going way up given that this wave is apparently under-produced. Damn you, Mattel

i was able to find black adam , gaurdin and dead shot , but wasnt at toys r us they are sold out at the moment ill check back again wensday , i did find em at a comic store here in the city they had only those 3 the guy told me they should be getting more soon just to check again and are supposed to be getting full sets i mentioned about the email i got he seemed a little suprised but so far need the others and vigilante and ill be set , i did look for the 2 packs no greenlantern only clay face and batman and superman and brainiac which ill prob pick up eventually i got the dcsh line clay face so passed on it

Ive always known about the figs and seen them, but after reading Blackest Night Im crazy into DC right now, especially any color Lantern! All thats left around here are the orion-lightray, bat girl-azrael, kid flash, barda and cpt cold. Been like that for ever it seems lol! It would drive me nuts from the issues some of you guys go through to get these and some of the issues Mattel has had too. But at least the majority of the figs are solid and done well.

Yeah, I was on the borderline of regretting that I've gotten into these in the last couple of months with this shortage of wave 9 last night. I've spent almost $60 trying to secure Arrow and Canary off of amazon, and if Mattel pulls this crap with wave 11 (that I also have on order with BBTS), I will seriously consider giving up.
DCUC is an awesome line and I'd like to be able to say I'm glad to collect them, but their distribution is a huge problem and if it isn't fixed soon they're going to lose a lot more money than mine. The stress and the running around all over creation trying to find these already seems like more trouble than it's worth.

A bunch of folks are speculating that the reason why there's such a shortage is because they're holding back on their orders to keep it for Matty's site. Sheer speculation and a serious accusation, to be sure, but time will tell. And at this point I'm almost willing to pay dealer markup rather than give Mattel my money directly.
The first wave of 2010 will be on Matty. It was once said 9 was, but that was later to be found incorrect. So we are SOL until then.
I was lucky enough to get one of the orders for the seires 9 set with variants and since that was only up for a few hours I would guess I've got a really good chance getting my order filled since it should be one of the first. But then again, this is Mattel. I think they are *this* close to having collectors give up on the line because they've done every single thing possible to make this the hardest line to collect.
As long as they are giving us nice representations of the characters we want, I don't think there is much chance of collector exodus. People may talk the talk, but the DCUC is as good a line of DC figures as we've had, and so I don't see many walking the walk. Self included

It's IMO not worth my time and effort trying to "hunt" down the figures by going to several stores. I rather just buy a set online and forget all about the hassle. It's not just DCUC but Marvel Legends too. The distribution for BOTH suck. I still haven't seen a single Nemesis wave figure at any Walmart near me. For the record, I never saw one Rulk wave figure at Target either. I'll admit I don't go every day like some people do but if I'm there I will look.
I got the Gotham 5 Pack from Ebay just because I knew I'd never see it and I was right. Still no sign of the pack at all in my area.

I don't want this to sound like a "shameless plug" but I always order from BBTS and I always order early.
Since BBTS's cancellation policy is awesome I just preorder everything I think I might want and just cancel if I change my mind. There's no penalty if you change your mind and no down payment like other stores.
EXAMPLE: I was preordering every MOTUC figure from BBTS. If I was lucky enough to get that month's figure from Matty.com then I just canceled my preorder from BBTS. I missed out on Mer-Man so the preorder worked out great.
I placed my order the same day it went up on BBTS, when ever that was. It was so long ago I forgot when.
I always check their site almost everyday and place preorders daily.
As I think of it, surely Green Arrow and Canary are gonna be re-released in "best of" waves.
