There was no Charlton figures for a while too, but now we got Captain Atom and Question so there is still hope.

And yeah, if Mattel was smart they would have Jonah Hex ready in time for the film's release.

Not going to happen. :(

No Vertigo characters, which makes no sense. ST has had crossovers with tons of DC characters over the years and was even in Crisis.

Is it because Vertigo is more mature themed characters? Still, a classic ST is a must.

There was a Swamp Thing cartoon and a toy line to go with that. So I don't see the problem with making Swamp Thing. I know I had a few of those figures. So they can't pull the "not appropriate for kids" card on him at least.

A CnC Swamp Thing would make me order the whole wave despite who was in it.

And that is why this line will die within a year unless Mattel steps up. People want this figures, but if they can't get them easily, many are going to bail out. Its just not worth the headache.

The funny thing is that I am not priced out of the market, I just can't find them to spend my actual money on! MOTU CLASSICS are easier to find and they're not even in stores! :lol

Man that ST TV show was garbage and the toys even worse. There are better 5th world bootlegs better than those ^^^^ty toys.

You can count me as one of those "geeks."

I hate to say it but I love these figures too much to drop the line. Mattel as a company sucks. It's sad but it's true. I am guilty of paying outrageous prices for figures myself BUT I HAVE TO HAVE THEM. I've been asking for a DC line like this ever since Super Powers got canceled.

If Mattel raised the price to $20 a figure, like MOTUC, I'd still buy them.

Me too!

When Mattel signed their contract for the library of DC characters...ST was not included in the agreement. For those characters, they have to get special permission to do them. Essentially getting a seperate license for that one character.

Its slim, but it might happen. We got Capt. Atom, Question and Powergirl so who knows.

Me and a buddy of mine loved those toys as a kid. They weren't any worse than anything else released back then. Plus, cool action features like the retractable hand and the clear plastic bug add-ons for the "Un-Men" were beyond what a lot of others were doing.

That show is still very memorable to me because of the wacky "Wild Thing" rip-off for the theme song, and the horrible voice acting of Dr. Arcane.

do you think spending 28.00 on ebay for wave 9 single figures might be to much or decent price seems the comic store i went to one of the workers told me no they arent getting them in then i call up and they said they got em but sold out so far i can find wild cat and mantis for 28.00 to 29.00 includingshipping .. and i can prob just pre order green arrow with stand off another site...

I'm a manager at a TRU, and we have had only one case of series 9 stocked--that's only 1 figure for every 100 phone calls about the wave.

yeah it is high i do want them so i guess i might have to resort to it but with my luck ill head over to toys r us and they will prob have em in stock lol like when the dcsh line was canceled toys r us had em but no bat girl or two face i went to k mart a few months later they had pegs full of batgirl and two face and steele and a few others

the thing is with this comic store its not a huge store they do have 2 stores in manhattan but their customer service is crappy at times they give you an attitude or just basically blow you off and i hardly go there anymore i usually go to the smaller comic stores to buy my stuff i know when i used to work retail i would try my best to be as helpful as i can and if i wasnt sure id just tell the customer to try in a few days since a order was placed on so and so or tell em we get shipments on this day might want to call or come by then . oh well lol its not the end of the world i just dont want to max out my cc and have to pay a super high bill other then that id prob wont to much its not like spending 124.00 for a eradictor lol

I just spent almost $60 including shipping for both Arrow and Canary off Amazon, so that's not too much more than I paid. It really is how much they're worth to you. Canary is pretty awesome looking, but now that I have her in hand I'm a little disappointed at her staction-figury-ness. But she's another Leaguer I can cross off my list. Now, if only Arrow will get here... if not for him I might not have gotten roped into collecting these in the first place...

lol i hear you i just pre ordered green arrow for 16.99 with shipping and all it came out to 28.00 so i minus well just order the 2 im looking for mantis and wild cat , i just get impatient at times cause i know how things can become scarce then id have to spend more then what i want to but i figure it this way if i took the train or bus to go look for these it would come out to the same about basically most places here are selling them for 16.99 to 17.99 toys r us is about 13.99 so it adds up so ill just cave in and do it .
if anyone wants to pre order greenarrow try midtowncomics they have em up there along with power girl . they had wave 9 on pre order but its gone now they do have mantis which i might just order off them

The reason there was no Charlton figures was that they weren't covered in Mattel's license with DC. For some stupid reason, DC still considers them to be a separate entity than the regular DC characters.

Just like the Charlton characters were a few years ago, Mattel doesn't have the rights to Vertigo characters. ST just isn't covered under their license. IMO ST never has been a Vertigo character. He had a series for years before the Vertigo imprint even came out.
