matty exclusives?
I honestly have no idea whats up with this line and I regularly check the Fwoosh, which is usually up-to-the-minute on Superhero figures from Mattel and Hasbro.
Best case is these will be out this summer. Worst case, they are cancelled. But I'd be willing to bet we'd see these as Matty Exclusives before they just get cancelled. Not sure if that is better or worse than the worst case scenerio

Matty is Mattel's online store they use for their exclusives. They've only done 2 sets of DC Universe 2 packs, but they have their entire Ghostbusters and Masters of the Universe lines exclusive to their site. So if these don't end up in stores, I could see them finding a home there.

Worse. If that's the case I'll have to pass on them. That would be unfortunate.

Why? Mattycollector.com is really a good alternative. Collectors can still get the figs they want even if there is no general interest in it. Neither GB nor MOTU would sell in stores. I am happy to get them and wouldnt mind buying my MM there too.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't they releasing a DK directors cut with missing footage this summer? Wasn't that the plan to release them then?

I haven't head anything about a Director's cut. I think that is 100% rumor.
And no, the plan was to have the next wave out in January.

It'd be nice if there were a director's cut with extensive features, I found the current release to be very weak for extras.

I really wish we'd get some news about the newer Dark knight lines. It is getting kind of ridiculous. Its not like theyre hot toys worthy of waiting 6 months.

MOTU failed when they were in stores. Many say it was because of all the variants but if you look at other successful toylines they do have even more variants of the main characters. Kids just did not like something on MOTU... Maybe the cartoon, maybe the figs. Dont know. Fact is something did not work and the figs did not sell. The new figs wouldnt sell neither as they have no cartoon, comic or anything else kids can rely to. Kids will always chose Ben 10 or something else they are "used" to over MOTU. I have quite alot to do with kids and the result is always the same although they know that I love MOTU they stick to Ben 10.
Same will be with GB. A videogame isnt enough for kids. The game wont be bought by kids but by us...
