That's what I'm sayin. It was one of the survivors when my basement flooded too. Didn't get wet at all. I moved it to my closet in our room upstairs. I would have freaked. It's my favorite toy I own and will be for a very long time I think.

That's awesome. Such a great piece and its easy to see why it'd be your favorite.

Hey, thanks man. And honestly, Eva 01 kind of sucks in terms of quality, but the other two are fantastic, and they applied those changes and did a "rebuild" version of the Eva. So, if you get Eva 01, make sure you get the "R" or rebuild version.

Ok, so in collecting some #GokinHistory, I got this guy in today. The 1901 design is the predecessor to the 1969 designs. You can definitely see where this is true in it's design, and it's the same scale as well:

What's interesting to note is that there's no Pileder at the top of the head on this one. Instead, there's a very intricate cockpit designed into the torso of the figure where the pilot fits into his back. The detailing on the inside is also top-notch:

great review man.....funny thing is ive had the fewture mazinger 1901 for a long time and didnt know a lot of them because ive never opened them thanks for the review very fun stuff

Hey man, thanks for checking it out and yea. Seems like a lot of people had the 1901 toy from what I've been getting told. One guy even said he bought it here in the states at Media Play! So, that's pretty cool stuff.

Question: The wings that come with Aflodai and Garada: Are they the same colored wings no matter what versions of the character you get?

Btw: If anyone ever wants to sell just the wings - LET ME KNOW!!

Great Mazinger 1969 should be here monday. I got the original color version, but honestly MIGHT get the recolor of this one too for the additional swords.

Oh my god those mazingers! Whooo man fewture is killin these sculpts. I wish they would re-do Garada, Doublas, and Boss but all in die-cast. I'm not sure how I felt about their design of Boss Borot but the other 2 looked great
