It's an all Medicom night for me! Over at Quick Stop, I have a review up of the two latest Medicom Star Wars releases as well - the Clonetrooper and the Shadowtrooper. If you picked up the Medicom Stormtrooper, then you pretty much know what to expect with the Shadowtrooper, but the Clonetrooper was a little bit of a disappointment for me. You can find links to all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

It's probably me, but I can't find it... found the Ghost Rider review, but no Clonetrooper/Shadowtrooper...

Edit:Never mind... found it!

Got my Ghostrider as well. Nice quality, but he looks weak. The torso is WAY to narrow. These are no way 1/6th scale. Jeans should have had belt loops and the spiked belt is cheap out. Should have been made similar to the jacket's belt with a working belt buckle.

Head sculpt is pretty nice as is the rest of the clothes.

It's in stock at SS I just noticed (The Clone) I could get it for like $115 shipped if I use my points. Then to get it changed over. :bounce

Geez, the Shadow Stormtrooper is so short he's not even in scale with the Clone Trooper from the same line! Are the regular Medicom Stormtroopers that short?

The Clone Trooper looks terrific. Now let's hope they make one with a screen accurate paint scheme (Gree!!!!!).

You do know that the Clonetroopers were all CG in the movie right? I noticed in your review that you commented how the armor gets in the way of articulation and it must have been hard for the actors to wear. But all the Clones were CG, they never made a full set of body armor because it would have been expensive.

I need to go get the Clone figure. Then have someone change it to a 501st.

Now you're talking Josh---- if they were cheaper I'd get a couple and pose them in the background behins SS Vader (ie Anakin with the Sith eyes)... The image of them marching up the Jedi Temple steps is still my favorite image from the entire PT.

Yeah, it's cool. It's just a shame that Lucas tainted it by using rehashed music written for AOTC instead of what obviously should have been the music for that sequence: the ultimate rendition of The Imperial March.

The imperial march would have been a nice link to the OT...

Yeah, that would be very cool.

That's why when I got my Hayden auto I went with that one.

Really? That sucks. Nothing particularly complicated about the armor for God's sake - it's not like it's Davey Jones' octopus face or something. It's just some armor! I assumed that when they did individual troopers they were real...too bad.

Yep. Not even the helmets were real. When shooting, Temuera Morrison wore a blue suit and put on a classic Stormtrooper helmet for reference when he was in a shot taking a helmet off or putting one on.

This was one of my biggest beefs with the overuse of CGI in the PT. It has it's place of course, many shots just couldn't be done without it but surely they could have made at least a few sets of real troop armor for close ups.
As for the 2 reviews, excellent as usual, not sure I'll get the "clean" Clone Trooper but I'll be intrested in a Shocktrooper should one be released. And now Medicom have an awesome Temuera Morrison sculpt,I wouldn't be at all suprised to see Commander Cody in the near future either. The Shadow Stormtrooper is nice but not a figure that I'm likely to get for a good while as I prefer movie characters.
