Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Excellent. Mine looks very similar. Any head / neck mods done to that?

yeah, there are some mods on my figure, but it's now a while ago.
head was widened and re-painted by Rismo, have widened also the neck with cotton and changed the cape with the lovely cape from lou. :)

and thanks again for the comments. still haven't done the carbon-decals-mod ala vodoun. Just haven't the courage and time. :D

Would love to see more pics of this figure here. It is an outstanding piece and I love it more and more...

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Shows you how accurate the crease is.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

The Rismo repaint looks great, mine was repainted by Josh (Small studios) but has not been widened properly yet. I have a buddy lee cape which looks phenomenal. And I've replaced the belt with the HT TDK Batman belt. Will probably upgrade it to the DX belt once that's out. Also, will be looking to do the neck stuffing mod as well.

Looks really brilliant thrustmaster!

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Amazing details. It looks awesome

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

It is, big time. Do you box them up after a while, Thrust? or do you have displays for them...

All figures I have are displayed in my detolf. But there aren't that much. Boxing them up would be too pity for me :) I couldn't live with a feeling to have something beautiful but can't see it anytime i want, i have just to enjoy them as much as i can.

As for the Medicom Bats, i've bought him loose for a very nice price, but just no box and some of the accesoirces are missing (especially the hands, which I'm still searching :D)

I've read once that you box them up?

@ EdwardNygma1: Yes, as I already mentioned in my last post here, head is widened and repainted by rismo. pics just don't justice to the quality of the repaint. in-hand it looks so life-like, especially the eyes...

And thanks guys for all your comments. I really appreciate them :)

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Yeah, I have no display yet. I originally went to see about some custom built corner glass display units. Sadly they wanted £2,000 per unit (the 6 foot tall ones). So I'm going to build my own out of wood and painted matte black. With strip lights perhaps on each shelf and probably glass doors cut for sliding doors.

This was a quick diagram I laid out for the shop to get an idea what I was after.

The center piece will have the Batcave.

Sadly I can only take one or two figures out at a time to admire until I get these built. Hopefully I'll have them well near completion after the new year or so. Need to get some door runners and such etc etc before I start. Need to make sure I have everything I need before I start.

Figure collection will be on the right. F1/cars on the left.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

wow mate, that will be a beautiful display. love your idea and the tumbler in the center will be damn nice. i'm figuring out at the moment where i could have some space for a tumbler. it's just such an amazing piece, i would regret it, if I would not buy him in the near future.

and yeah those glass-display units are so damn expensive. i didn't liked the ikea detolfs, so i have bought one that is just bigger, but I'm still not happy with it. :monkey4

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Vodoun, looks like it will be a brilliant display mate. One thing i'd look at is making the centre display higher to hide the TV stand. Can't wait to see the results.

Rismo was going to sell me a batman, but I haven't been able to get ahold of him since early october.....have you been talking to him recently?

no, recently not. have you contacted him via mail? he's not that much here at this board, more over OSW, but your best chances are via mail.

And thanks guys alot for your comments :)

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

I'm sitting here and looking at the medicom Dark Knight and I'm just amazed with how realistic it is!!! Rismo's custom head for Thrust is beautiful.

If I remember correctly the Medicom Batman Begins was supposedly the bottom of the list of to buys. But this one just looks too good compared to the Batman Begins one. I may have to pick this one up along with the Hot Toys DX Dark Knight.

Does anyone know if Rismo is still redoing Batman heads?

I think, that he does some more. Just mail him and try your luck. But you should know, that the head-mod will cost time. I've waited more than 3 months, but every second of waiting-time is worth. he really is a nice guy and he always sent me mails with some infos about my head, so he's really recommended. he is just damn busy :monkey5

@Ed: Just be patient. I'm sure he will get back to you, when he'll have the time for it.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

sorry for posting a second message in a row, but for the first time in my life I've tried photoshop and that's my result :D
