Wow, Luke looks GREAT in this shot, Matrix! Is his outfit from the Sideshow or Medicom figure? I've been considering putting a similar kit-bash together.

Thanks! That's the sideshow outfit on a custom body. A good tip that i used is to wet the outfit when it's on the figure. Once it's dried it fits better and looks more natural

Yes, water treatment does wonders. I assumed the Sideshow outfit would be too big to fit on such a slim body, but you've proven me incorrect (and saved me $100 from picking up a Medicom Jedi Luke in the process). Those boots also look like an upgrade.

That Indy re-sculpt is indeed very impressive.

IMO this is the only Han Solo sculpt that really works. The Sideshow Smuggler and Stormtrooper sculpts are workable and can look really good with a re-paint, but even so they're more caricatures than realistic renditions. The HT Solo doesn't look like Ford in any way and the Sideshow Hoth Han while looking like Ford seems more like Ford after botched plastic surgery.

I guess the hope is still with HT pulling out a few tweaks on theirs.

Excellent work as usual, but I'm just not a fan of that Han head. Love the finish, and it's Ford-ish from a few angles, but likeness-wise it just exudes Bradley Cooper (and yes, I love what was done in the Indy thread - proving there's a lot of HF hiding somewhere in there.) Maybe it's the hair that throws it - it's hard to say. But then I also feel the HT Bespin Luke just doesn't really capture ROTJ Luke to me, where his face looks much older than in ESB. They are both great placeholders until the "next level" of ROTJ sculpts comes through from HT in the next two years (hopefully closer than ANH Han.)

The suit is if anything a bit tight on that old buck body, but on the smaller body and with water treatment it can look great! The boots are soilder story, far from accurate but they work pretty good

Very well put and i agree with everthing, but i think the HT solo has a pretty good likeness to ANH ford. The high hair piece is throwing it off for me,they should have just gone with all one piece. Wonder was it going to be a DX,but they changed their minds at the last minute

Thanks! But to me it's an excellent ford sculpt of how he looked in ROTJ(don't know where your seeing bradley cooper),yes the hair color could be a tad lighter, but it's still the best ford/solo headsculpt there is at the moment by a country mile. I think you can use the HT luke sculpt for any bash as it's unmistakably mark hamill. At the end of the day it's all about opinions and beauty is in the eye of the beholder:wink1:

I had both outfits and settled on the medicom; the sideshow just looked too big for me on a slim, even though quality wise it's the best outfit and the only one that allows the tunic to go down like it did at the end. It will look okay on a regular body - but just okay, it will still be bulky. I recommend the medicom as the best 'Jedi Luke as he appears on the sail barge' and the cloak is the best cut cloak (though the material on the sideshow cloak is nicer IMHO). It's also true that the sleeves are a little too short on the medi, but this could probably be fixed with futzing. The boots are definitely nicer on the medicom; many people say you can't put feet into them but that isn't true, if you dip the boots in boiling water you can then work slimTT feet into them and click the pegs into place. The accessories are better on the sideshow, but again, I just don't use them, not even the belt. Here's a photo of mine; you'll note that Luke's holding his blue empire light sabre as I prefer blue light sabres! It has faults, and please overlook my awful posing, but overall the silhouette is amazing.

Hope this helps.

That looks like it's been shrunk in the wash before he put it on. The medi clothes were made for one body imo and that's the one it comes on. I've seen others do the same with luke and with the medi fett and it looks all wrong scale wise. I disagree that the SS suit only fitting a regular body,i have them on a slim and they work great. Granted the tunic on the SS is too big and the medi is more accurate shape wise. Again all opinions at the end of the day. Check out the ROTJ luke custom thread
