Alright kids - play nice!

I have the Season 4 Jack and the sculpt isn't so bad - but the 5 has the outfit he's better known for. He's wearing it this season too.

I haven't seen season six yet but I can't wait for the DVD boxset, season 5 was awesome and apparently president bastard puts in an appearance in season 6 too.

thank you dave. :rotfl

I still don't like the likeness much, I don't think it's been there for any of the Medi 24 figures.

Maybe they look better in hand, Darklord Dave, as an owner of the JB season 4 medi figure what do you think?

Keifer Sutherland is the only guy cool enough to wear a man bag as a fashion accessory and get away with it.

that's just a bigger version of the indiana jones purse.:rotfl

I have tactical Jack. I don't think the sculpt has changed on this one except for the hair. Not a fantastic Kief likeness, but it's kind of there.

the suit looks really cool, how much is this guy supposed to go for?

I agree Dave, it's a decent likeness. It's recognizable but not "on-model." I would give it a 6.0 out of ten. You can improve it with a good paint app to about a 7.0 out of ten. After the Jango announcement, I was hoping for a better Jack sculpt but that outfit looks amazing. I also have the tactical version and I love it but I only spent 95 bucks for it shipped. If I can get this version for approximately that price, I will be picking it up too. However, it not, I am happy with my season 4 version.

Cheers,

Brad

I think the newer one looks a bit better but I can't tell if they are the same sculpt or not. They don't look alike to me. The eye brows look different and the new face appears more rounded to me. The better sculpted hair though on the new one looks much better.

Cheers,

Brad

It is certainly an improvement, but it isn't something I'd pay more than $20 for. Medicom really needs to work on their sculpting and painting. Those two issues make them look like Habsro figures.

McFarlane's is still the best Jack figure despite the cost cuts they are taking on the diorama.

I think it looks way better than the first one, but still off on the headsculpt. And can someone tell me where this decadentdave gets his material, it's gold baby, gold! :rotfl

You obviously havent seen their Jango Fett.

Of course I have. That figure is newer than this one. Sure they've nailed their first likeness ever, but it doesn't mean its a new trend. Heck, Hasbro pretty much nailed Jango too so that doesn't say much about Medi's likeness of him. The outfit is certainly much better than Hasbro's though.

The sculpt was quite good, but once again their paint was horrible. DarkArtist was able to turn it into a gem, but that pale-doll-plastic-looking paint is just terrible. Medicom is great in clothing, but pretty much everything else is lacking a bit. They look too toyish (figures that show skin or have a human likeness that is. Vader, Boba, etc are great but just not true 1:6 scale).

Of course, back to the "scale" issue. Does it really matter in the grand sceem of things? Their just plastic figures in the end and Medicom makes the best figures around, small scale or not.

Hey, if Medicom makes a good figure, I admit it. Jango DOES look amazing. Wolverine is good with a repaint. Jack doesn't look good though. It resembles Kiefer, but at the $150 price point it should be a mine Kiefer. I really don't have anything againts Medicom, but they just do not appeal to me (especially at the price). I'm not trying to start a Sideshow vs Medicom debate. I'm willing to admit Sideshow has their flaws as well. Sure the Buck body could use a revamp among other things, but for the price I do feel Sideshow is superior. Character selection wise, Medicom wins with Vader, Boba, Jango, clones, Stormtroopers, etc. Sideshow and Medicom are very differnet and they both have their strengths.

If we could take Medicom's clothing and some of its articulation and combine it with Sideshow's sculpting and scale, we'd have a perfect 1:6 figure company.
