Recently released Figuarts Rey head on the Mafex fig

Got my Mafex Kylo Ren the other week. First thoughts. the figure itself is pretty awesome. the Robe is well made but too large... even with a rubber band and water treatment the robe still seems too big... however I do love the wire in the hood as it sits really nice... I went ahead and swapped the v2 Black series robe, while overall it looks much better and proportionate I don't like how it doesn't cover up the shoulders the way it should.. oh well i guess you cant have it all

Theres a PACKED First Order TLJ Stormtrooper coming. He has every accessory ever lol. And the TLJ edition Phasma with staff and pistol is coming too

Thanks guys! I agree, I hope they announce some new stuff soon. The TLJ Phasma and FO Stormtrooper got pushed back to Sept according to my pre order. They look so good I can't wait to get them. But theres absolutely NOTHING else announced beyond them :/

lol that's exactly what I was thinking. I have no idea what Mafex is doing. They weren't at shows for the longest time, we usually only saw preview pics in magazines. Then they were at the show last week or the week before where they showed off their new Marvel stuff and other random stuff, but no new Star Wars to be found.

And their Marvel stuff has been KILLING it. I don't collect them but they've made some large improvements in the past two years. So much so that I even see die hard Figuarts collectors switching over. Their face printing tech has come a long way since Rey, Harley and Finn. I wish we'd get some new humans for the Star Wars line. They'd give figuarts a run for their money now.

They just need to speed up their production to be competitive. You said you're still waiting for Phasma and the FO Stormtrooper? I remember getting their first DV and Stormtrooper about 9 months after they were supposed to be released. They need more MCU stuff or else there's not much competition between them and other outfits. All their recent Marvel reveals were comic oriented (which is still cool), but even Deadpool who has NO 1/12 movie figures that I know of. Even all the DP Legends figures all look comic based to me.

Yeah, was supposed to drop this month. But I got an email from amiami that they'd been pushed back. Their new marvel comic figures look great. But their DC line has been dominating I think.

I really wish so bad that someone, ANYONE would produce 1/12 movie Deadpool and Logan figures. I'm assuming it's a Fox licensing issue?

It must be. I don't understand how even Hasbro hasn't made any figures related to them, like how do they not have that license. I don't collect ML, did they do anything for the other Fox X-Men movies lately?

Nah, nothing at all fox related for a really long time now. I don't think we've seen anything from X-Men first class and later as far as Fox Marvel stuff goes.

It's a shame, cause a movie Deadpool would be a huge seller no question!

So the Hot Toys Deadpool was truly one of the few action figures made related to the first movie. Insanity.
