Considering that Medicom didn't even have this figure at the recent overseas convention, I'm wondering if perhaps the prototype is at SSC for ComicCon already.

It's weird because on every Asian collectible sites including Amazon.jp it's up for presale for late Oct '08. Maybe it's still too early for the US? It might be available maybe 1st quarter of 2009.

If you google Medicom RAH 396 you get hundreds of japanese sites, but they're mostly sold out.

Heck, all their medicom stuff is priced nicely (batman, sweeney todd, etc)

Yeah, I know...
The most I ever splashed on a figure was 200 for Medi-Vader. And this one as well now... I ordered at Yesasia, only site that carried it that I had previous experience with and with free shipping the 200 bucks aren't that bad. But at 135 I would've bought it instantly!
I'm even considering getting a second one...

I was dissappointed to not see this at SDCC, but perhaps with everything else, if SSC is to distribute this, they're holding back and didn't want to show everything coming at the show.

I bet they will make it about 11.5 inches tall, but hey it looks killer.

I'm also sad to see zero pics of it at the toy shows this summer.

Yeah, it looks great!
More than the size, I wish the proportions were right. I've gotten used to the idea of never owning the perfect 1/6 scale Alien figure...

Right now this figure is my most anticipated for this year by far. This is the year of the Alien. Next year is the year of the Vader!
